Fabulous Summer Day Hike - This trip was exactly what I wanted it to be when I booked. We really wanted to get out of Tromsø for a hike in the wilderness without the hassle of having to hire a car and find a trail by ourselves where we'd likely get lost! We were brought outside Tromsø by 8 seater mini van to Kvaløya about an hour away. The scenery on the way was amazing. It was raining when we started but nobody seemed to mind and we set off. Our guide told us a lot of interesting things about Norway along the way and we saw some Reindeer too. We had a lovely group of people who were very friendly and we chatted along the way. The trail wasn't too hard but got tougher near the top but the views were worth it. Stunning scenery all around. We had a really tasty sandwich and some hot juice and took tons of photos. The mist rose up then but that was quite cool to see too and we then decended into it and back out down the trail. We got a well earned cookie at the bottom before heading back in the van. We were lucky enough to meet a reindeer on the road on the way back too. Overall, I loved this trip and would definitely recommend it. If you're considering booking it, just do it! You won't regret it.

Memorable hike in beautiful nature - We did a delightful small-group hike with our guide, Geoffrey, and Anna & Ivan and thoroughly enjoyed our day. We drove away from the crowds, and found ourselves on a lovely climb to beautiful views. The entire day was completely enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this option to anyone but especially as an alternative to a cruise excursion. No crowds, just beautiful nature and great company.

Mountaintop experience - This was a great hike. It wasn't strenuous (I am mid-60's) and the views are incredible. We ended up having a private tour because the other couple's ship didn't arrive in time. We came in on the Viking Mars ship and had plenty of time to look around in town and then meet our guide (Anthony) at 11:00. Anthony was so friendly and shared lots of his experiences. Because it was only the two of us, we got done a little early and had time to grab a quick bite before our next tour. So glad we did this hike.

Delightful and not too hard with a great guide - This hike was delightful. Not difficult but requiring a little effort and not too much for slightly cranky knees and adding to around 8km total. The countryside was blooming but would be beautiful in any season that you can see it, with the trail initially overlooking a valley then passing over a series of false summits until you reach the glorious lookout across three fjords with Tromsø glimpsed on the furthest on the right and a little village nestling at the tip of the leftmost. Ellie was great company and brought interesting homemade sandwich rolls, homemade cookies and hot drinks to have overlooking the fjords whilst seated comfortably on her very effective mat. We stopped on the drive back to town because of reindeer on the road and in an adjacent flower filled field with the fjord in the background. In Norway there are always surprises!

Amazing hike - This was a wonderful and beautiful hike. Our guide, Ellie was very knowledgeable about the area and talked about the town as we drove towards our hike. We had a small group with only 3 plus Ellie. She picked us up right on time and showed us a map of where we were going. After the hike, she actually took us back to our ship, since we had docked a little further from town and the last shuttle to our ship had picked up in town before we finished our hike. It was so nice to have the personal care on this small group. It was so peaceful and beautiful, we were happy to get away from the crowds on the ship.

Wonderful hike! - We had an amazing hike today with Elle. She asked all of us on our hike what we had already done in the area and picked a hike that would work for everyone. We have been on a cruise ship and for 23 days and had excursions most days and we thought that this was the most enjoyable yet. Elle was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we asked. I highly recommend this hike. Thanks

Excellent hiking experience in Tromso - We were fortunate to have great weather and a wonderful, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide. Despite being much older than our fellow hikers, our guide kept us together as a cohesive group and provided us with lots of relevant information.

Great excursion even though cloudy! - Great excursion with Ellie. Super friendly and informative and used her knowledge of trails and weather patterns to pick the best alternative for our trail hike for the day. Van was comfortable. Lunch break was nice with sandwiches biscuits and hot choc. They even had mats to sit on to keep the bum dry, and provided walking sticks if you didn’t have any.
