Additional Information

Witness the grandeur of humpback and Orcas (killer whales) as they gorge themselves in the herring-abundant Arctic fjords. Our tailored hybrid-electric boats are designed for whale watching, assuring minimal disruption to nature and the whales.

Setting off from Tromsø in the early hours, we journey to the locations where the whales feed, just in time to relish the brief period of daylight. En route, savor the stunning views of icy landscapes from our comfortable, panoramic lounges and multi-tier decks. A variety of food and drinks are available for purchase on board.

To reach the feeding grounds of the whales, we employ a hybrid engine. As we approach the whales, we switch to a noiseless electric engine, letting us get close without causing any disturbance.

Kindly remember that the length of this trip hinges on the whales’ location. It generally takes around 3 hours to reach the whales, making the entire trip length to vary between 7-8 hours. Although not certain, we always strive to provide a quality time with the whales for about

Considerate sailing without stressing/pressing the whales. - Very well informed and friendly staff/guides, with lots of knowledge about whales and other animals and plants in the sea. The boat was so nice, clean and cozy with good seating. Consideration was given to the wild animals, so we didn't sail close to/after the whales, which means a lot to us. We had binoculars with us, which is highly recommended.

Very educational boat tour with beautiful scenery and great guides - We set off in the dark and arrived in the dark again, but during the trip we were able to see a beautiful sunrise and sunset in the beautiful landscape. The tour is very entertaining and humorous with talks about the environment, whales, etc. If you want, you can even buy warm soup after seeing the whales and drinks, wraps and sweet pastries all day long. We would definitely recommend it!

Once in a lifetime experience!!!! - Even though we were able to see only couple of sperm whales. The journey was the most exciting part with the beautiful sunrise, full moon and mountains. It was truly breathtaking to cruise through the fjords taking in all those beautiful moments the nature has to offer. The crew members were amazing and knowledgeable. Thank you

Unforgettable day - The scenery was stunning going to and from the spot where the whales were making the long journey just as enjoyable as seeing the whales. The guides, Kim and Veronica, were super helpful telling us which side of the boat to be looking out from for the journey through the fjords and the whale watching. When we arrived, we saw 8 sperm whales, despite it being late in the season. Unforgettable day!

Great Experience - An amazing experience, we saw sperm whales up close and personal. The tour guides Veronica and Kim were keeping a close look out and informing us when and whales were spotted. The views on the way to the whale spotting area was incredible as well. Would recommend the experience just bring warm clothes and some travel sickness tablets as the waves got very choppy towards the open waters.

Great Tour - The tour was great, would definitely go again. The boat was big and clean and was perfect for this purpose. I would recommend wearing warm cloth and also to enjoy the ride to the whale spot! Tour was 10/10

Beautiful experience but a very long day. - It was a long day! Prepare yourself for a long day! The boat is beautiful and comfortable and the staff was very nice. It took us about 4 hours to get to where the whales were and the guides were very helpful in helping us identify the whales once we found them. We were lucky enough to see a ton of sperm whales. The scenery is beautiful and witnessing the whales was majestic. The guides do a great job of educating us about the whales during the travel time. Food was good and overall a good time but just a long day in a confined space. Make sure to take dramamine before you go as well!

Whales tour cancelled - good alternative - We booked the whales tour. But couldn’t go because of the weather. Instead, they offered us a small discount to go on the Tromso fjords tour. We were disappointed initially (some more visibility than others!) because we were told on the boat itself rather than by email so we could’ve slept in! But then, we had such an amazing Fjords tour. We saw the arctic landscape around Tromso and ice sheets. The crew were very friendly and tried their best to give us a good experience. Very informative commentary. The boat was brand new (I think just 6 months old). We had a great time. So what started out bad ended up to be quite enjoyable (even though no whales!). On reflection, it’s better not to go in bad weather, so they were right as safety first.

Very disappointed - Unfortunately, we were not able to make this tour due to arriving 5 minutes beyond the 'meeting/start time' that was noted on our booking tickets. There was no information given on any of the last communications we received to meet 15 min. early, and I only saw that when looking back at the original ad to book. Nevertheless, we were making every effort possible to arrive at least that early anyway, but tried for 40 min. to get a 10 min. Uber ride to the meeting point and were unable to. When we did arrive, it was not clear from the address (Kaigata 6) where we were to be, and no number to call to tell anyone of our situation. I'm sure it was a great tour, but we had no way of contacting anyone locally. Later, we were not only denied a refund but couldn't talk to a real person about any of this during or after our disappointing experience =(! I know they have a full boat booked and must pay that to the tour provider, but I hope they will consider giving the information for contacting them (or they the participants) on site in case of similar situations, as well as providing clear information on the last emails about meeting times and locations.

Would not recommend it. - For the amount we paid we expected atleast a free coffee or they should have given free lunch given that tour was for 8 hours. Plus i hardly saw the tail of the whale the whole boat was crowded in the front and it was so shaky that you couldn’t take a risk to go to the edges to see it. They should’ve atleast kept binoculars for people to see. The boat was overcrowded so most of us had to share tables with other groups which was very uncomfortable. The journey was almost 7 hours up and down and the whole whale watching dint even last for an hour. I am sorry but for the amount we paid it was not a good experience.
