Tromso - Benefit from our decade of experience in Aurora chasing. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide will accompany you up to 250 kilometers from Tromso to find the best possible weather conditions. Once a suitable location is found, our mission is to capture beautiful portraits of you with the Aurora, scenic photos, and possibly timelapse/videos, which we are happy to share with you the following day.
For your comfort during each tour, we provide winter clothing, a campfire, tripod chairs with small reindeer skins, hot drinks served with muffins and fruits, and camera tripods for DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
For customers who wish to rest a little, we keep a heated minibus available at all times (a new Mercedes Sprinter minibus).
Our regular tours typically last 6-9 hours, depending on weather conditions and aurora activity.
Arrival times back to Tromsø vary greatly depending on the distance covered during our chase, ranging from 1-3 am. -
Tromso Fjords - Tromsø fjords, mountains, and the journey to Finland are the most frequent locations and directions where we chase the northern lights and the best possible weather conditions.
Choosing between coastal or inland areas increases our chances of finding clear skies for you, as the climate often differs significantly between the west coast and inland areas, or even with Finland’s climate.
All locations are beautiful yet distinct.
Fjords around the west coast are only an hour away, with average temperatures during the coldest winter period of -5/-10 degrees Celsius.
Inland areas, particularly Finland (and the border), are further from the Gulf Stream (which warms the coast), which is why temperatures can drop below minus 20 degrees Celsius in Finland, where we regularly drive whenever the weather forecast requires it.
Therefore, we are among the few providers who offer our customers a heated minibus at all times (for rest, sleep, or just to warm up a bit).
