Experience an extraordinary Northern Lights tour! If you’re fit and confident in navigating ice and snow, and eager to explore the most picturesque locations with a small, energetic group, this adventure is for you.
Travel in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser to the best spots with clear skies to witness the Aurora Borealis. Weather permitting, embark on a gentle hike or snowshoe walk to discover untouched landscapes, serene fjords, frozen lakes, and the finest Arctic locations, far from the crowds.
Whether the terrain is icy or snowy, you’ll be equipped with ice crampons or snowshoes, walking poles, thermal suits, and foot and hand warmers. Don’t forget to wear your own warm snow boots!
Your guide will capture photos of you and the Northern Lights, but feel free to bring your own camera! You’ll receive tips on capturing your own Aurora images and using a professional tripod.
Enjoy a warming dinner of soup, cookies, and hot drinks under the enchanting Arctic night sky!
- The vehicle used on tour is a lifted 4x4 off road truck with normal car seats, not a spacious van nor a minibus. Unfortunately, when at full capacity like on this tour, larger sized / very tall guests do not fit in it, as sometimes long drives are required to see the lights and adequate comfort must be guaranteed to every participant on tour. Please get in touch before booking if you are in doubt!
- You must be in good physical shape to walk on uneven terrain that will be snowy, icy, wet and slippery
- The Northern Lights Tour cannot have a specific duration. That is due to the natural conditions like weather and northern light activity, which cannot be predicted accurately; therefore, the tour can last from 5 to 9 hours, even though the average is around 6-7 hours.
- This tour operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear warm and water resistant clothes and have an extra layer with you and boots that are suitable for winter and snow.
- If you are travelling with kids younger than 13 or shorter than 150 cm - 59 inches please get in touch for a private tour option.
- This tour is not suitable for elderly participants, people with any injury, sickness, movement disability, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches. It is an active tour.
