Amazing experience, highly recommended! - It was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. All the staff working at Green Gold of Norway are extremely friendly, nice and helpful. Our guide, Alex, is a wonderful guy who explained everything about the experience, encouraged us the whole time during the trip and was always looking for the best place to see the auroras. That night we were 4 small groups, each guide was communicating with the others to find the area with the most clear sky. At the beginning of the tour they gathered all of us in the main office to explain what we were going to do, give us more information about the northern lights, warm overalls, as well as tips for programming our cameras and cell phones. Alex and Matheus took spectacular pictures, offered us tea and coffee and were always making sure our cell phones/cameras worked and that we enjoyed the experience. We were lucky enough to see many polar lights that night, but if we hadn't, the tour experience with them would have been worth it. The day before we did a tour with another company, but unfortunately our guide was not motivated, however our experience with Green Gold of Norway was amazing. I highly recommend them. We will come back! Thank you guys

A real chase! - Due to the very cloudy weather in the area, the team decided to bring us almost 200km from Tromso, accross the border in Finland! It was worth the long drive and patience as we managed to finally see magnificent dancing lights. Thanks Andis and the team for the incredible experience and the photos!

Truly unforgettable experience - Trip was exceptional, guides were really knowledgable and wanted to give us the best experience. They were helpful with photography tips and getting their photos at the end of the trip was a pleasant bonus. We were so lucky, the light show was wonderful and stayed for a while dancing above us. Would highly recommend this company and we had Mateusz as our guide who was lovely 😄

Great for sighting the lights - We were super lucky as it was the perfect night for aurora borealis.. we saw the lights dancing.. must go on a visit to Tromso.. I would have given a 5 star but the operators were quite impolite, something unusual compared to all other tours I booked. Based on the staff I would have given 3 stars only but since we had a magical sighting giving it a 4

You get what you pay for - This was one of the cheaper small-group tours we could find and you certainly get what you pay for. After meeting the group at the hotel, they take you to their office to grab the snow suits, tripods, etc. and then divide the large group into 8-person vans. All of the vans ended up going to the same location so it felt like you were on a big bus tour, rather than a small group tour. The guides were nice enough, but not overly friendly as they were also doing the driving. They did a good job getting photos of everyone and sent them all to us the next day. The snacks provided were lackluster compared to other tours - a pre-packaged muffin that wasn’t anything special. If you’re looking for transportation to a great spot to see the lights and need to borrow a snow suit, this is the tour for you. But if you’re looking for stellar service, look elsewhere.

Ok - The pro's: The explanation beforehand was nice to learn a bit more about how the aurora works and also to manage our expectations. The availability of suits is good! 👍 And the driver was nice. The cons: The bustrip itself was not so special, just driving (no stories about the aurora or anything, no excitement in the air, just not the atmosphere I expected I suppose). A long (30-45 minutes) stop to fill the tank. We also stopped earlier than the promised duration, because the driver didn't think we would be spotting anything anyway. He was probably right but it didn't feel good. (We were back before midnight) So all together we were a bit disappointed, it was ok, but I think next time we'd go with a tour that either drives further or tells stories or makes campfires since that would have been a better match for us. If you just want someone to drive you to clear sky (if there is any) this tour is probably a match for you. ☺️
