When visiting Tromsø, exploring Kvaløya is a must do! Islands packed with raw landscapes, endless mountains, arctic beaches, to breathtaking fjords, and (frozen) lakes.
Enjoy the ever changing landscapes, and be sure to look out for roaming wildlife. We have the possibilities to spot soaring sea eagles, native reindeers, and the elusive moose. There will be several scenic stops along the way, perfect for photo moments, which we will share with you after the trip. Upon reaching the archipelago islands, we will enjoy an organic homemade light picnic, and a warm drink. As we continue through the mountain valley, passing quaint fishing villages, and making a final stop at one of the most dramatic fjords on the island.
Let us share our favourite places with you, sit back, relax, and breathe in the calmness and quietness of life in the Arctic. This tour will run in any weather; rain, wind, and snow are part of an authentic Norwegian experience.

Amazing day tour of the fjords - We booked an arctic fjord roadtrip (daytime) with Northern Soul Adventures and had the best time with our tour guide Samuel! He was very knowledgeable about the areas surrounding Tromso and brought us to the most scenic and stunning places. He shared his own “favorite spots” with us and was flexible in the tour- for example, making a couple extra stops along the way to help us find eagles that my friend really wanted to see. He was also an amazing photographer and I was so impressed by all the photos he took for us! He also gave us personal recs for things to do around Tromso (like an infinity pool that was 10/10). In addition, he was just a really fun person to hang out with the entire day and we all agreed he was our favorite guide during our trip!

An amazing tour of Kvaløya and Sommarøy islands, would definitely recommend! - We went as a group of 5 and luckily had the whole tour to ourselves. Samuel, our tour guide and photographer, was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The tour was adapted to suit our interests and Samuel took us to several stunning spots and pointed out wildlife along the way. He was passionate about photography and had a great eye, taking some incredible photos and even giving us tips on how to get our own great shots! We made numerous stops but never felt rushed, Samuel was very relaxed and ensured we had plenty of time to take in the spectacular scenery. We had a lovely picnic on the beach with some delicious vegan sandwiches and the option of warming fruity tea or coffee. Some of the group were worried about not having enough toilet breaks but there were several opportunities if needed. Overall a well organised tour and fantastic experience to explore the beautiful Kvaløya and Sommarøy islands. It was the perfect start to our trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Amazing Nordic Adventure! - This road trip through the Arctic fjords was one of the best experiences of my life. Everything was simply perfect!
Samuel, our guide, has an incredible passion for the Arctic—something truly rare to find. He’s extremely knowledgeable and explains everything you need to know about the region, enriching the experience with fun facts and fascinating insights. He’s kind, attentive, and always focused on making you feel comfortable throughout the entire tour.
He’s also a talented photographer: during the trip, he’ll take stunning photos of you in the most breathtaking spots, which you can later download from his page.
The places he takes you to are absolutely unbelievable—from frozen lakes to white sandy beaches, every view is more stunning than the last. You’ll never get tired of taking it all in.
I highly recommend booking your fjord tour with Northern Soul Adventures—you definitely won’t regret it!

Truly recommend - The tour was absolutely fantastic! We were lucky to have beautiful weather, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thomas was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable—he really took us to the very best spots. A special mention to Ana as well—her homemade cookies were absolutely delicious! I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate—these guys are amazing!

Wonderful activity! - Great organization, stunning locations, and our guide, Armand, is experienced, friendly and professional. Panoramic picnic very well organized, with vegan sandwich really very good. The driver, Anna, was also really professional and pleasant, I had very pleasant conversations with her. Everything perfect, great value for money.

Arctic Roadtrip. - One should not skip the fjords tour when visiting Tromsø. I would like to thank the tour guide and the driver for educating us about the fjords and showing us the beautiful scenery. The tour guide is also a talented photographer who took great pictures for us.
I booked this tour last minute and initially thought it might be boring since it was winter and there wouldn’t be much to see—but I was wrong and so glad I went for it. I truly had a wonderful time and met many friendly people in the group.

Visit of the Fjords - A beautiful Nature experience through the fjords, quiet, away from the city and in small group. Beautiful landscapes, Thank you to our guide Armand, who was very caring , moreover as it is French the exchanges were facilitated, picnic on the beach , very nice! I recommend.

Fantastic scenic day out with Tomas and Lucas - Today's road trip with driver and guide Lucas and Tomas was excellent. We saw beautiful scenery that has to be seen to be believed. The weather was cloudy on and off throughout the day but Tomas and Lucas made sure we took photo stops when the weather was the best. It was a very scenic day! Every effort was made to make the day an incredible, interesting and very informative one. Highlights were views of Haja Island from the beach at Sammaroy. We also saw an eagle flying close by! Thank you, Tomas and Lucas! I highly recommend Northern Soul Adventures!

Tomas and Ana you were both amazing! - Thank you Ana and Tomas for the amazing tour to the Fjords.
Sommaroy beach was amazing we were lucky with the weather!
Also it was so good that the tour was so flexible dependent on the weather so we still managed to hit all the spots.
The sunlight kissed peaks at Ersfjord towards the end of the day was so beautiful.
Thank you for the photos which were taken they were so professional and at no extra cost.
Tomas and Ana you guys are so awesome thank you for this experience!
