Highlights
- Stortorget 1 - Ice Fishing on Ullsfjord begins at the designated meeting area in Tromsø. We will transport you to the fishing location and then proceed on foot to the ice-covered sea. This excursion offers a rare chance to fish for your own catch. Should you land a fish, we will assist you in its preparation. In the event that we are successful in catching fish, you will be taught how to clean and cook the catch.
Following the fishing experience, we will return to our basecamp to cook a traditional meal together. Our basecamp boasts an incredible view of the Lyngen Alps and provides a serene setting for listening to local tales and unwinding in the heart of the Arctic wilderness.
Once you’ve absorbed the local lore and feel rejuvenated, we will transport you back to the original meeting point in Tromsø.
We supply all necessary warm clothing, fishing gear, a meal, and both hot and cold beverages. Participants are expected to bring their own warm gloves, hats, and thermal undergarments. Winter boots can be arranged upon request.

Additional Information
Embark on an ice fishing adventure starting at our meeting place in Tromsø. We’ll transport you to the venue, a trek down to the frozen sea awaits you. Gain a unique chance to fish on your own during the expedition. Post fishing, we’ll journey to our basecamp to whip up the fish in traditional Norwegian cooking style.
If we land any fish, you’ll learn the art of prepping and grilling it.
Local lore would be narrated, and a serene rest amidst the Arctic wilderness is possible. After getting acclimated with our local history and achieving a refreshing relaxation, we’ll ferry you back to the meeting point in Tromsø.

Must try adventure in tromso - Out of all tours so far this is the best in tromso, excellent hosts and really good food. Fishing in the magical fjord even though we didn’t catch any fishing was a unique experience. Carving the hole, fishing and preparing food afterwords in the hut was one of a kind experience. Oh and their cat chanel was the cutest little fluff ball.

A highlight from our trip, easily accessible and fun fishing experience! - This was definitely one of the higlights of our week-long trip to Tromso Norway! Karin was so authentic and easy to work with. Communication pre-trip was great, with her reaching out via WhatsApp to field any questions or clarifications.
The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish, great for beginners who have never fished before (my wife) or those just new to ice fishing in general (myself). Not everyone in our group caught a fish but the group overall caught more than we could eat. If you're staying in an Airbnb or somewhere with a kitchen, you can take the extra fish home to cook! We all went home with bellies full of delicious freshly barbecued cod and toasted marshmallows.

Highly recommend - Great excursion!! If you enjoy nature activities this is a great one. We caught a ton of fish but even if we didn’t I’d say it was still fun to be out on the ice and learn about ice fishing and afterwards we ate an amazing meal with the fish we caught (but in case we didn’t catch any she had fish burgers prepared).
Highly recommend this tour. Great for families or anyone who wants a good pic with a fish. Surprisingly ice fishing is much easier than regular fishing. The fish are super easy to pull up.I did this as solo traveler and loved it

A great fishing trip and BBQ - We had a great day out with Karin and our group. Pick up was really easy and we were soon heading out onto the frozen Fjord to have a go at ice fishing.
Team work soon had as all drilled through the ice and fishing away. The group really had a good laugh. We caught a few nice cod and headed back to Karins bbq hut for a lovely group lunch.
The venue is stunning, Karin is a fantastic, fun and friendly host and it was a 5* day as far as we were concerned. Everyone in group was really nice and we all had fun.

Fun, happy and well fed - First time fishing.
The guide, Karin, is very knowledgeable and engaging. We were in a group of 7 people in total(not counting the guide), which added a personal touch that would not be possible with a bigger group.
We managed to experience drilling holes through the ice ourselves as well.
Our group was quite successful with fishing, and we had the fish we caught for lunch. Lunch was delicious and atmosphere cozy.
The people we were with were also very fun to be around, which made the experience even better.

Really fun experience - Great Ice Fishing experience today with Karin. I’d selected this tour at random from those available today in Tromsø and would wholeheartedly recommend even if you, like me, have no particular interest in fishing.
We drove out from Tromso further up the fjord to a fully frozen area and all donned spikes (provided by Karin) to walk out onto the ice to an area well used by locals for ice fishing.
Karin got out the giant drill bit (no joke) and we all had a go at drilling into the ice with different degrees of success - lucky Karin and others in our group helped out so that we all had a hole through which to fish.
During our time on the ice the group caught maybe 8 fish (including a few herring), and then we all headed back to Karin’s own beautiful house and BBQ hut where Karin prepare the fish we caught and then cooked it over the heated coals in the hut.
Fantastic experience, topped off with marshmallow toasting, making us all very happy.
Karin is a great host and really helps the group to gel together. If I ever come back to Tromso I’ll be sure to book another of Karin’s tours.

Amazing experience! - I would highly recommend this tour! The peacefull time at the frozen fjord, amazing views on the white mountains, the guide, and the fact it was a small group, everything was just perfect. We caught about 9 cods, they taste so good!

A different adventure - Great trip and something different. Couple of hours fishing and then back to Karin’s house for hot drinks and BBQ of the fish. On our trip 8 people, 1 other couple and a family of 4 and all enjoyed it.
