Absolutely Recommended - Extremely scenic winter wonderland, and a definite trip highlight in spite of the bad weather and poor visibility. I booked this tour on a whim but it has definitely been a star of this trip. A huge shout-out to the personable guide for this trip- Pepe was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the region, and he really diligently did his best to give everyone a great experience, through the almost continual snow and fog.
The thermal suits and winter boots are included in this tour, and they are comfortable and of excellent quality and really helped to cut out the effects of the weather.
Would definitely recommend this company and this tour not only for those who are looking for some views and filler before their northern lights tours, but also as a standalone highlight worth making the trip down to Tromsø for.

Pepe in the Fjord - We had a wonderful day being guided by Pepe. He was so warm and funny and made our day very memorable and fun. The weather wasn't looking great for views as it was snowing a lot. Pepe guided us to areas with blue sky and sunshine.
He is a credit to the company. We received warm suits and had hot chocolate and baguettes on a snowy beach. Arctic Explorers are a great company to use. There are so many and it can be confusing but we made a good choice thankfully.

Memorable fjord tour - Arctic explorers is a great company with great guides
Our guide Dominic and driver Lars really made the tour fun and enjoyable. They made the group build a really big and cute snowman!
Our guide Dominic is truly dedicated and committed in his job, he is so passionate. He made sure we got to see really beautiful sceneries by switching the sequence of the stops around so that snowstorm will have passed away by the time we arrived at the relevant stops.
He took really nice photos for everybody in the group too.
We had a whole lot of fun and a truly memorable trip because of Dominic. We also felt really safe with Lars driving so safely.
Dominic and the other members of the tour were also very helpful in aiding my elderly mum to navigate the snowy landscape.
Thank you Arctic Explorers, Dominic and Lars!

Just great! - It was a great trip with guide Pepe, a humorous Spaniard. He led us to great places that we could enjoy and photograph without time pressure. In between there was information and tips. We had great sunny weather and the picnic on the beach was great. There were hot drinks and tasty food from the bag, typical Norwegian. Anyone who wanted could have their photo taken anywhere.

Beautiful Fjords - Our tour guide Dominic had a genuine love of what he does. He is a keen hiker and was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information of the surroundings. He took us to some lovely spots and took great photos which we were able to download the next day. We had a hot lunch on a beautiful beach and lovely hot chocolate. We were lucky enough to spot reindeer on the way home so we stopped and were able to see them up close. Highly recommend day out.

In addition to the incredibly beautiful Norwegian nature, the attentive guidance of our guide Dominic, whose passion for Norwegian nature and culture elevates the experience.
He took us on a tour through majestic fjords, scenic viewpoints and serene corners, where we felt like we had the Arctic wilderness all to ourselves. No crowds, just the sounds of nature and the chance to take stunning photos.
A great choice for travelers seeking authenticity, tranquility and a personal touch. It's a beautiful and memorable tour. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Bus Tour - Whilst I booked this tour thinking it would be partly on a boat on the fjords, we had a wonderful day with Dom showing us around Tromsø.
Pick up was very easy and we were given some boots to wear, which were like a hug for our feet.
We drove to some incredible places around Tromsø, visiting the Fjords and having an ‘adventurer’ lunch.
Dom was an incredible and knowledgeable guide, explaining about the history of the area and providing interesting facts.
Overall this was a fun trip, although we could have done with a couple of toilet stops.

Spectacular day at the Fjords - We recently went on a fjord tour with Artic Explorers and it was nothing short of spectacular! The views and landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—every turn offered a new, stunning perspective of the fjords. It felt like we were seeing some of the most beautiful places on Earth.
The service was professional and seamless from start to finish, and we felt like we were on a semi-private tour, which made the experience even more personal. Our guide Dominique was both friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights about the area that really enriched the tour.
The food and drinks provided were excellent, a perfect touch to keep us warm while taking in the surroundings. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the best of the fjords in a relaxed and intimate setting.
Thank you Dominique for such an unforgettable experience!

Choose someone else for Fjord expedition - Did fjord expedition tour with Arctic explorers in tromso on 24th March 2025. The tour itself was great and we had a lovely time. The tour included free photos captured by the guide on the tour and the guide took a lot of photos as well. The images are supposed to be available on their website within 24hrs of tour completion but we didn't get it for atleast 5 days. When the photos were uploaded, we only got 6-7 photos out of total 25+ which the guide clicked for us. Contacting the company via their website resulted in no response.
