Excellent short duration... - Excellent short duration activity. Wonderful guide. Only minor point were the large crowds inside the Polar Museum which made navigating difficult.

Architecture history and great places to be sure to visit - This is an informative tour. Due to the ice on some sidewalks but not others, we were taking our spikes on and off. Carl is very knowledgeable about architecture giving us some good background as well as identifying some great places to be sure to visit. I especially appreciated hearing about the Tromso International Film Festival which runs in December before the sun returns raising the question what would it be like to visit again during that time.

Interesting tour - Astrid was are tour guide There were only two of us on this tour , myself and a guy from Germany ( apparently we were lucky it wasn’t cancelled because there were only 2 of us. ) Astrid walked us around the centre of Tromso, pointing different things out to us and explaining the history of Tromso ( which she is very knowledgeable about ) We also got to try some smoked whale meat which was very nice !) We ended up in the artic museum where astrid explained the history of artic exploration and the history of whale hunting I found the museum to be very interesting with lots of photo opportunities This tour is worth doing while in tromso
