Fantastic Northern Lights tour from Tromso with Lukas - What an amazing experience! There was nothing about this night we didn't love. Our guide Lukas was just the best. Warm, funny, knowledgable, helpful. He went out of his way to break the ice between people on the tour and created a great atmosphere. We had a blast. The suits and boots were cosy, the soup and hot chocolate were very welcome, and the lights were mind-blowing. We had help with our own photography, and high-quality professional photos followed quickly after the trip.

Aurora hunt with Victor! - March 2024 What an amazing experience! I had dragged my family around the Pacific Northwest many times trying to catch a glimpse of the Aurora on the horizon and we finally decided to try and really see it by traveling to Tromso in the Arctic Circle. I understand this type of tour is dependent on so many factors so while I will start by saying how lucky we were to catch a break in the clouds and get treated to a beautiful display, I want to be clear that the tour was already a success before that in my opinion. Victor was a fantastic guide and my family loved the stories of lore he shared about the Aurora. The treatment of the guests, safety, warmth and comfort, were all handled exceptionally. And of course, we were lucky. And you know youre lucky when you hear your guide shouting as enthusiastically as the other guests! I cant say enough good things about the experience. Happy hunting!

Best experience ever! Main reasons why you should choose this tour - This tour is phenomenal! Everything about it was perfect and Kamil and Alex made us feel comfortable & safe right off the bat. There are many reasons why one should choose this tour over others (like being in a larger group). 1) the intimacy created by participants 2) fantastic 'hunting' of auroras by Kamil who was checking a variety of factors all the time (when not entertaining or educating us about very interesting facts about auroras etc or making sure everyone is comfortable 3) the thermal suits that are provided with this trip (it would have been incredibly cold without them) + campfire (Alex can start a fire in the arctic with a single match) + *amazing* vegan hot chocolate and amazing soup (that is a great experience in itself, bonding with other travellers) ... something that I reckon some other larger 'more commercial feeling' tour operators might skip out on (having been on one myself - although I did see the lights as well) .. and to top it off, you get GREAT photos by Kamil. Both of you and the phenomenon. :) I highly highly highly recommend these guys and I will be back looking for them again the next time I am back in the area. PS, they drop you off right at your hotel after the experience, what more could one ask for? This is the absolute best 'royal' treatment that will make your experience of the auroras even more over the top! Cheers to these guys.

Hunt? - Probably this is how many of these excursions operate: we stepped into a comfortable mini-bus voor approximately 12 people. After an hour or so we parked at a parking and walked about 100m to the waterside. There was no activity at all. Also the spot wasn’t really dark, since there was light from a bridge and a village. We sat at a campfire that had been prepared and at some quite average soup with an old slice of bread. After a sit-in of 4 hours hours, our guides concluded that no activity was expected and we drove back to Tromso. Of course they had no influence on this, however: it would have been more realistic to just don’t go at all, of nothimg is to expected. And: don’t call it ‘a hunt’ if you are not planning to go to different spots. For approximately eur 250pp, our advice is: don’t fall for these so called ‘N’light hunts’. Just walk (or take a bus voor a fee euro’s) to the little lake near Tromso when activity is expected and you have just as good a chance to see the Northern light as on these ‘hunts’. And you can save your eur 250 pp for a good dinner in the village and other actovities. Tip: plan in advance a husky sled-ride - that is fantastic and a lot more value for money. We can warmly advice Artic Adventure Tours!
