Witnessing the production of genuine maple syrup is a quintessential Canadian adventure. Usually, the maple season extends from the start of March to the end of April, but we offer this cherished French Canadian tradition all year long.
After indulging in a buffet meal heavily featuring maple syrup, join the guide for an engaging exploration of syrup production and its history, and later savour some maple taffy on snow.
Post-lunch, you have the opportunity to visit gift stores and sample a variety of maple-based goods before devoting the rest of your leisure time investigating downtown Trois-Rivières. Here, you can browse boutique shops, or explore the Assumption Cathedral, recognized as the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trois-Rivieres, from the 19th century. Its 125 stained-glass windows, a masterpiece by Guido Nincheri, are considered to be some of the finest in the country.
In the evening, we head back to Montreal.
