• Ile Des Phoques - On the journey to Ile Des Phoques, travelers can witness albatross, dolphins, Australian fur seals, and whales (seasonally), along with breathtaking views of Maria Island and the Freycinet Peninsula.

Upon arrival at Ile Des Phoques, visitors will sit with the fur seals and learn about their habitat, their recovery from near extinction due to commercial sealing, and their recent return to breeding at Ile Des Phoques after more than 200 years.

Guests will enjoy morning tea, coffee, and cakes with the seals before exploring the extraordinary giant Rainbow Caves. These caves are the largest granite sea caves in Australia, possibly the world. Experience the awe and beauty of nature as the cruise boat ventures deep inside the caves.

• Maria Island - Following the visit to Ile Des Phoques, the tour continues to Maria Island for a delightful lunch with local wine aboard the cruise boat beside a picturesque white sandy beach. After lunch, the boat docks at the jetty, and the afternoon is spent on Maria Island with a guided walk exploring the history of the Darlington convict settlement and time with the resident wombats and kangaroos.

*Note: If adverse weather conditions prevent cruising to Ile Des Phoques, the cruise will be adjusted to circumnavigate Maria Island.

Lunch is provided on the tour from our café as a large, healthy salad bowl. Options include chicken breast in pesto aioli, smoked salmon, roast beef, leg ham, or vegetarian/vegan. Guests can add a homemade bacon & cheese quiche or pumpkin and feta quiche and opt for a half salad. A complimentary drink of tea, coffee, juice, soft drinks, local wines, and Tasmanian premium lager is also provided.

• Darlington - In the afternoon, both tours will dock at Darlington. Enhance your cruise experience with a guided tour through Darlington’s intriguing collection of preserved convict buildings, learn about the town’s remarkable history, and encounter Maria Island’s resident wombats. For those less interested in history, simply relax on Darlington’s white sandy beach or swim/snorkel in the waters of Maria Island’s marine reserve.

Hotel pickup is available for guests staying in Hobart! Travel in style with our comfortable bus instead of hiring a car. Our shuttle bus will transport you from Hobart to Triabunna along the scenic Tasman Highway, and if time allows, we will stop in the historic town of Richmond for some memorable souvenir photos. The bus journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cost for the bus is $25 per person return.

The cruise departs Triabunna at 9:00 am and returns at 4:30 pm.
