Lovely afternoon tasting wines of the region - A great tour led by Dmitri. The guide and local wine producers provided explanations of the Vouvray wine making process, with an opportunity to ask questions.

A great insight into making wine - What a fun afternoon and getting to taste lots of white and sparkling wine. Two lovely small vineyards visited to see how they created their wine. Wow...I will really appreciate how much effort went in to making my wine next time I open it. We were lucky enough to be there and watch the pickers harvest some of the vines. I was expecting great big juicy grapes but they are in fact small grapes and tightly packed on the bunch. Lovely guide Alex who kept us entertained the whole afternoon.

Very good experience - This visit was a very good experience. Our guides were welcoming and presented the 2 cellars to us very well, skillfully juggling between English and French.

Amazing tours with amazing tour guide Dimitri - Dimitri went out of his way teaching us about the history of wine making. We had the honor of having him as guide twice. The Vouvray tour was amazing and authentic. The other tour was great too with sweet guide.

Sun, fun and wine! What more could you want! - We both had an amazing time, our guide Sophie was so lovely, friendly and very informative! Came away very happy with a few( 11) bottles of wine to take home and enjoy! If we come to Tours again which we hope too, we will definitely book through the same company again, and hope to get Sophie!

Lovely wine tasting, a bit overpriced. - Visited two lovely vineyards in Vouvray with our wonderful and very knowledgeable guide who collected us from Tours and translated where needed during the tour. We sampled around 10 wines across the two locations, and were able to purchase without any pressure afterwards. In terms of value for money, I would say that I feel that this tour was priced quite highly. During the first tour, an English couple turned up to enquire about wine tasting and were allowed to join our group without charge. With hindsight, we could have gotten a taxi to any winery in the area and asked for a tasting for much less.

Very informative but not much wine. - Nicholas was a great tour guide and driver. Both wineries were interesting & cool to explore the caves. I would say for £80 pp it seemed a bit expensive compared to other tours booked in France - and while you taste many wines you hardly would have more than a large glass total. Would suggest that for that price there is inclusion of cheese or something.

Interesting, but not as expected - First wine tasting was great. Friendly owner who talked passionately about his family business. Impressive tour, good story and nice that he also spoke English. Wines were very tasty, various flavors and reasonably priced, so it was also nice to take a bottle or box home. We thought the second wine tasting added little. Story and tour were often the same, but little passion, more commercially oriented and the tasting was completed in no time. During the second tasting there was also less diversity in the wines. In our opinion, areas for improvement are... 1: Adding a food pairing, if you are on the road for 4 hours and taste 9 wines, a few matching snacks would be welcome, especially for this money. Even if it's just a piece of cheese or something like that. 2: Second wine tasting may differ slightly from the first. For example, other methods, including red wine instead of white, visiting a vineyard instead of just caves and the like differ. Now this added little. 3: Too bad we didn't visit a vineyard outside, but only caves. We drove past it and stopped for a photo, but we didn't get a tour of a vineyard, even though we thought this was included.

Don’t waste your time or money. - This was a tremendous waste of money. We paid for a 4 hour wine tour. This was around 3 hours total, we spent 2 of those hours driving in the car. We only stopped at 1 winery, tried 6 white wines (never even had a full glass). No food or snacks were offered. The your operator was very nice and informative but the tour itself was extremely boring. Then she drive us to a field for a 10 minute chat about vines. The pictures and details are misleading. There was no frolicking in the vineyards, large outdoor tables with people drinking wine, multiple stops at any of the chateaus/ vineyards. Just 40 of minutes of driving in a van, to a cold cave, tasting 6 wines, 20 minutes out to see a field, then back to Tours FR. We did our own self guided tours on other days, way better. I do not like to leave bad reviews, but we also asked for a few partial refund, and Viaror denied it. I guess they don’t actually care if the experience is good. 2 stars only because the guide was nice.
