Wonderful food tour in Toulouse! - What a fabulous experience! We took the Victor Hugo Marché tour with Ally as our guide and enjoyed it thoroughly. Ally was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and personable and kept the tour going at a relaxed yet structured pace. We learned lots (& I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about food, cooking etc). We enjoyed generous tastes of cheese, charcuterie, bread, pastry, strawberries and wine. No need for lunch afterwards! I highly recommend Taste of Toulouse’s tours. Excellent communication before the tour, including when my initial attempt to register encountered an online hiccup. The owner Jessica promptly contacted me and helped me complete our arrangements. Great Experience with an awesome Guide - Excellent background information on ratings and good standards in France. This was followed by a fun tour of the market with multiple educational and culinary stops ( i.e. food sampling🤪) at great vendors who were eager to share their own experiences and perspectives. Jen, our guide, was very well informed and had a great way to "feed" us her knowledge. Highly recommended

Delightful. - We love this tour. It is my third time, and I just keep coming back so that I can take my friends when they come with me to Toulouse. We had a different guide this time and she was just as good as the owner. I highly recommend this great tour of food and local culture.

Enjoyable Epicurean Experience - We enjoyed the tour of the market immensely. Ally, our guide, was knowledgable, interesting and a gracious host. You will learn a lot about the unique Toulousian foods. The tasting at the end is perfect with a generous assortment of what you have seen. Bon Appétit!

We love this tour! A wonderful welcome to Toulouse! - SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Also very informative, full of tasty snacks, people watching and delicious regional wines. This was Teana’s first day as a guide (after a full month of training) and she was shadowed by Jessica. So we had the pleasure of two guides. In my humble opinion, Teana got two thumbs up from us but it also shows how seriously Jessica takes her business, that she would still care enough to come. Both were warm and professional, and made the tour fly by. The market is bustling and friendly, but I would have been totally overwhelmed and clueless on my own. In contrast, T and J made a beeline to each preselected stall, all of which were of excellent quality. They reviewed why each vendor was selected, we got to meet some of the owners, and sample really fresh and delicious meats, cheeses, fruits, wines, etc. It is also notable that Jessica was greeted warmly not only by those vendors but by other owners or shoppers in the market- again a testament to her connections within the industry in Toulouse. We were also consulted on many purchases and also got to select several fresh cheeses from a world class cheesemonger (including a rare roquefort smeared with fresh garlic). Who knew? So good. I left the tour feeling more grounded in Toulouse, more confident to walk around town as a non-French speaker, and more in love with the regional cuisine and its people. Jessica also shared her expansive recommendation guide with us and since we have a few days left here, we can use it to explore. Well worth your time. Highly recommend!

A delicious tour! - Delicious food and plenty of good banter! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of marché Victor Hugo with Ally. A wonderful way to spend a morning, learning about the food and history of Toulouse…….by eating delicious food and tasting good wine 🍷🧀🍷 We had great “craic” with Ally (as we say in Ireland) and it was lovely to meet Ciara and Hisako. Fabulous - Fabulous! Learned so much about French food ( who knew there was so much to know about the Baquette!)-delicious food and wine as well- cheese of course, but foie gras and Toulouse sausage and a special Toulouse pastry. Very worthwhile.

fun morning - Tasted some wonderful food and wine and met some lovely people- an added bonus when travelling solo! Jessica was really knowledgeable so I learnt a lot. Would 100% recommend.
