Perfect Day with the Perfect Surfing School! - Not only was it one of the most gorgeous days in April, I got to spend it down in Torquay surfing with Go Ride A Wave Torquay. Joel was awesome, super knowledgeable and encouraging from beginning to end. Feel so much more confident out on the waves. I will definitely be back for some more fun times in the surf!

Thanks for a great time! - I had a great time in a private lesson with Ola. Her instructions were very clear and precise. She watched my posture and moves on every wave and her feedback helped me improve after each wave. Very friendly and knowledgeable too. Location and facilities were great and would recommend to any curious and slightly nervous beginners like me!

Fantastic Fun - I took my ten year-old son on a "boys trip" few days on the coast and decided on the hop to try a surfing lesson. At 59 with arthritis I struggled and didn't quite get to stand but my son did several times, which was more my goal to see him having fun. We had an outstanding instructor named Conner. He was polite, patient and constantly very positive and encouraging. 100% recommended!

Good teaching - Thanks to Beth for helping me to advance my pop up skills. It was my second class with Torquay go ride a wave. I had six other people in my group from all over the world. I have been struggling with my placement on the board for a long time however Beth gave me very helpful tips and now my success rate of pop up has become over 50%! Just Amazing!

Go Ride a Wave in Torquay - Absolutely Awesome! I'm 50 and never surfed before, booked a 2 hour lesson, great value for money, surfing instructor Tani ... (hope I spelt his name correctly) was fantastic. He was very clear on instructions, very informative whilst also giving us a few laughs along the way. He got us out in the water on our boards and standing up in no time (and falling off of course!!) It was a great experience and I highly recommend Go Ride a Wave in Torquay 🌊🏄‍♀️😊👍

Friendly instructor and great spot led to an awesome time - Our instructor Joel was great right from introduction at the shop through to the on beach lesson and the continuing feedback while in the water. Thanks to Joel’s laidback and friendly approach we quickly found ourselves eventually standing up and riding waves. We ended up hiring the boards a bit longer to reinforce the skills Joel had taught us. Highly recommend.

Recommend - great experience and fun! - Highly recommend - a great experience and fun. My 9-year-old niece and I did a 2 hr lesson on Tuesday afternoon and had a great time. Instructors were patient, professional, encouraging and friendly. Great value for the cost. Recommend Go Ride A Wave Torquay for sure.

Great surfing experience - My daughter and her friend had two lessons on Friday and Saturday. They are 12 and they loved it. Instructors were really good and they mananged to get up on the surf board so they were so happy with themsleves. The staff at the shop are also excellent, so friendly and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this activity and a great one to do as a family also.

Beginners surfing experience, highly recommended. - From booking to the shower afterwards back at the shop, everything was great. Easy process, very friendly and professional staff, from Tim booking and at the shop, and Hanna who took the lesson at the beach and helped in the water ... and thankfully didn't need to save us! Highly recommend for quality of service, and value for money.
