Highlights
  • Distillery Historic District - We spend the majority of the tour wandering the cobblestone streets of the Distillery District.
  • Young Centre for the Performing Arts - The Young Centre for the Performing Arts is a theatre in the Distillery District in downtown Toronto, Canada. It is a brand-new theatre built into 19th-century-era Victorian industrial buildings. It is home to the Soulpepper Theatre Company and the theatre school at George Brown College.
  • Soulpepper Theatre Co - Independent theatre focusing on training & youth projects in a former distillery building.
  • Mill Street Brewery - The brewery was founded in December 2002 in Toronto by Steve Abrams, Jeff Cooper and Michael Duggan. It was named after its original location at 55 Mill Street in the historic Distillery District, the former industrial complex occupied by spirits maker Gooderham and Worts.

Spooky Fun! - My daughter and I went on this tour and it was really fun. Our tour guide Sarah was great and the stories were super interesting. Would highly recommend. The Distillery District is pretty at night and lots of great places to eat before or after your tour.

Soft spirits - Good informative tour, friendly guide, lots of history and insights into 19th century Toronto society. It was engaging and fun, but not spooky. The distillery is a wonderful site with lots of benign ghost anecdotes but few murders or truly morbid stories.

Cute little short tour - Cute tour. It is very memorized and recited, kind of feels like you’re watching a play, but it’s a cute little short tour. Would have liked it to be creepier, personally.

Cute tour, fun stories - Cute tour with fun stories. Our guide Zack was personable and friendly. He gave great directions for us to get back too!! We did the 8pm tour, the area really shuts down between 7-8 so if you are hanging for the 9pm your waiting options will be very limited. As tourists we really weren’t aware of that. But it also means you aren’t fighting w crowds to go along your route or hear your guide.

It was ok - It would have been nice to have more current ghost stories than centuries ago. It was getting boring after listening to that as it wasn’t scary at all.

Just Okay - The tour/stories wasn't as scary as I'd hoped. Lots of historical facts but I came for the spooks! Plus there were other group members that kept talking and laughing throughout the tour guide's presentation.
