Embark on a journey through Toowong Cemetery – the Mortal City of Brisbane. Over 120,000 spirits find peace here, interspersed over numerous gravestones, mausoleum and vaults – each holding a remarkable tale to tell. Confront real ghostly narratives of an animated sculpture, a departed governor, the deadly widow, assassins, a cardinal interred on this 1.5 hour directed historic specter journey of iconic Toowong Cemetery.
Brisbane’s original historic specter ventures (inaugurated in.1998) facilitated by phantom-historian Jack Sim, author of Phantom Trails Series - SPIRITS OF TOOWONG CEMETERY.
- All children under and including the age of 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
- Ghost Tours are not suitable for children under 10 years, and will not be permitted on any tour.
- A moderate amount of walking up steep hills is involved.
- All travellers must have be fully vaccinated to attend the tour (unless you have a valid exemption or under the age of 16) - Proof of vaccination or exemption must be shown at check-in or you will be refused entry. No refund granted.
- Clients must be wearing flat-soled enclosed shoes. If you are wearing thongs, sandals or high heels you will be declined entry. No refund granted.
- Each guest is required to bring their own torch. Torch apps on smart phones are suitable.

Meet outside the main cemetery gates, Toowong Cemetery, corner of Mount Coot-tha Road, Frederick Street and Milton Road, Toowong, Brisbane - Look for Ghost Tours Australia staff member standing out the front of these big iron gates.

Toowong Original - Awesome experience - Our guide Andrew was great. He was knowledgeable about the cemetery and it's occupants, including some who were not part of the tour. He made it interesting and enjoyable. My friend from Melbourne was very impressed and so was I.
We have now done 90% of the ghost tours available through Brisbane Ghost Tours and they have all been an exciting adventure for us.

Book now! - Not our first spectral rodeo with the company - and although we've loved every tour, this was by far the best. Andrew was our guide for the night and he was just brilliant. He had an obvious love and enthusiasm for the cemetery and its history, he was authoritative and personable, and incorporated the perfect proportions of drama and humour. It was a rainy evening, where the cloud cover meant the moon lit up the cemetery beautifully. I don't think the showers upset or deterred any of our group's enjoyment or engagement at all. Andrew held everyone's attention and we didn't feel rushed at all. Can't recommend this tour highly enough: and we're already planning which one to book next.

It was every interesting and enjoyable true - The tour guide was very very interesting and full of history and knowledge about the front side of the Toowong Cemetery will have to do the tour on the other side which is the back end of the Toowong cemetery

Intriguing and Informative - The Toowong Cemetery Tour was very enjoyable and informative.
I have never been on a tour like this in the past but was very happy my friend and I had a chance to experience something very different.
We are definitely going to attend the other tours available!

Historic Spooky - Very informative with lots of historic information presented by Andrew who added to the atmosphere. The Mayne crypt was a bit spooky. There is quite a bit of walking with one up hill section but once at the top there is a fantastic view of the city lights. A blend of Brisbane history and tales of people long gone. The two hours just flew by!

Ghostly experiences, touches, goose bumps with figures lurking - The tour was exceptional, our host was fantastic. My husband and I have a big interest in history of old Cementery, especially Toowong as my great grand parents are buried there, and I get weird feelings when visiting cleaning their grave. Andrew our host was great put a lot of information into the tour, things we don't know which are interesting. Lots of walking, and uphill so make sure you can keep up, but once at the top..WOW what a view, that's if you haven't already been shaken up by a mystery hair pull, or something touching your arm. Best tour ever so enjoy it, we did. Thank you Andrew, and The Ghost tour crew.

Highly recommended! - We went on the Toowong Cemetery Tour last night and it was awesome! Hats off to our guide, Andrew! He made the night entertaining, interesting, funny and spooky all at the same time! I highly recommend this tour to anyone, can’t wait to do more 😊

Ghostly reflection - Our guide/story-teller, Andrew, did a great job bringing the ghosts of times past alive for us . The chorus of bats, cicadas & frogs added to the atmosphere with their spooky sound effects .
