Tolatongo Tour - Howard gave a great tour and was happy to answer any and all questions while Ricardo got us safely where we needed to go. Both were very happy to make sure our tour was everything we could have hoped for. The thermal pools were so relaxing and the river was an unreal shade of blue. Capped off the tour with a trip into a cave and grotto area!! Would recommend, well worth the long drive! I would suggest to bring water shoes, but we were able to stop at a shop along the way and get them and waterproof phone holders so we could get shots of everything (cash only in this area).

Wonderful experience - Howard was a great tour guide the entire day. Our group of friends loved the hot springs, caves and waterfalls. Howard also patiently took photos for our group of 5 girls all day. Our driver Ricardo got us to the Tolantongo safe and sound through a dense mist of fog super early in the morning too! Highly recommend this private tour!

Unforgettable day visiting beautiful hot springs. - Marvelous trip with Ricardo and Howard. They were super helpful and nice and informative. We enjoyed our time with them. The pools were beautiful, the river was beautiful, and the caves and tunnels were the best. The waterfalls were much larger and grander than what pictures can do justice.
The included breakfast buffet was delicious. The restaurant we ate lunch at was also delicious. The bathrooms for changing afterwards are new and have showers. I recommend taking soap and shampoo.
It is a long trip so I recommend going prepared with neck pillows so that you can sleep on the way there in the way back. They provide towels but I recommend you take an extra set of towels as well.
This was a private tour for our family of four in a new car.

Great Guide! - We had an amazing experience with Hermes and Carlos! They took us to Tolantongo and made the whole day effortless and enjoyable. Both were super accommodating while also giving us the space to relax and hang out on our own when we wanted—it never felt rushed.
They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing so much history and great stories about each location we visited. On top of that, they gave us fantastic recommendations for other attractions and restaurants to check out during the rest of our trip, which made our time here even better.
Truly couldn’t have asked for better guides—highly recommend!

Must Do! - Once in a lifetime experience. This is a must do. Don’t let the 3hr plus drive stop you from going. Carlos and Howard were our tour guides and they both were awesome people.

Unforgettable Experience at Grutas Tolantongo with Hermes! - We had an absolutely amazing time touring Grutas Tolantongo with Hermes! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, well-organized, and full of unforgettable memories.
Hermes was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly warm and friendly—he made us feel safe and taken care of every step of the way. The natural beauty of the hot springs, the caves, and the breathtaking views were even more incredible with Hermes guiding us.
He shared great insights and made the whole day feel like a special adventure. This was truly a highlight of our trip and we can't recommend his tour enough.

Tolantongo Hot Springs - We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Hermes, and I can confidently say he was the highlight of our entire trip. From start to finish, Hermes went above and beyond—not only was he our tour guide, but also an incredible translator and a highly skilled driver. His knowledge of the local culture, history, and hidden gems made every stop meaningful and memorable.
Hermes has a warm, welcoming personality and a true gift for making people feel comfortable. He was patient with our questions, flexible with our schedule, and always had great recommendations for food, shopping, and sights we would have otherwise missed. His translations were spot-on, which made navigating conversations and cultural nuances so much easier and more enriching.
On top of all that, we always felt safe and well taken care of—he handled everything with professionalism and ease. Traveling with Hermes felt more like exploring with a knowledgeable friend than being on a tour. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Worth it!!! - Unreal! It is a bit of a trek to get there, but SOOOO worth it! The waterfalls, caves, and hot springs felt like it was out of a movie (avatar vibes).
Hermes was our guide and did an outstanding job!

Great Location but Bad team - The hot spring was nice, the day we went, Cave was closed but the bad experience is because of the drive. The driver keeps turning off air flow, making the van hard to breathe and for a long drive like this, his skills had us getting car sick with tough gear shifting. Not to mention that the guide doesn’t even know where we’re going. Told us that we’ll stop by the valley for a photo, and when we arrived, they simply said they forgot. One of the worst experiences ever with the shuttle and the guide.
