Highlights
  • Todos Santos - Experience the coolest and most magical town of the southern Baja!
There are many beautiful and well known places in Los Cabos area and all Baja, but none of them have such a mystery involved by just listening to its name like Todos Santos or
    Todos Los Santos.
Recognized as one of the two Magic Towns of the Baja California Peninsula in 2006.

Part of the mystery might have relation with the “Hotel California” located here. Some people relate it with the famous Eagles song; which according to a tale, the song was inspired to them while staying in this hotel long time ago. True or false, Todos Santos Hotel California is settled in a beautiful hacienda style building and it’s a must visit.

Todos Santos is located 1 hour away from Cabo San Lucas at the Pacific side coast and it’s near from the shore. This colorful town is always in a relaxed state, inviting you to join its exquisite calmness.

Additional Information

Embark on a half-day tour from Los Cabos to the mystical town of Todos Santos, one of the gems of Baja California. This quaint and tranquil town is home to the Mission, various galleries, and cultural museums like the Casa de la Cultura. Get a glimpse into the history and traditions of Todos Santos and carve out some time for shopping, wine tasting, and exploring the legendary Hotel California. The tour package comes with transportation and a professional guide. While many renowned spots dot the Los Cabos region and Baja at large, none hold the intrigue that resonates in the name Todos Santos or ‘All Saints’. In 2006, it was named one of the two Magic Towns of the Baja California Peninsula. Adding to its allure is the ‘Hotel California’ and the anecdotal association with the Eagles’ song. Legend has it that the tune was birthed during the band’s stay at this same hotel.

Great Cultural Shopping Tour! - Due to a last minute cancellation, me and my mom were the only ones on this tour. Our guide, Juan, was great! Since it was just the two of us on the tour, he catered it more to what we wanted to do. The first stop was the blanket factory. At no time did we feel any pressure to purchase anything, but opted to buy a few things. We decided to skip the tequila tasting and went straight to Todos Santos. We took some time to look around the Mission and Juan explained the history in great detail. Then we went to the pearl store. Again, we didn't feel any pressure to purchase anything, but we still looked around and admired the pieces. Juan then let us roam the town on our end. He made suggestions for lunch and pointed out key points of interests. All in all, it was a great tour. There were a ton of shopping areas and unlike the vendors on the beach in Los Cabos, no one followed us around showing us good. It was a great experience. I'd definitely look into booking with Rancho Tours again :)

Nice tour to get a little something different - We enjoyed our tour very much. Getting out of Cabo San Lucas to see a different area was great and Todos Santos was much more relaxed and less aggressive in the sales approaches from shops. We got to see a good number of things - a mission, a tequila tasting, a pearl farm's in town store, the Hotel California. Dionicio gave some good highlights about the area on our drive - agriculture, history, water access, food. It was all very interesting. My only sort of criticism is it felt a little "by the seat of my pants" in the agenda. One tequila place was closed so he went to another one. He mentioned a rug place, but we never went. Everything we saw and did was fun, but that was a little odd.

Great day trip - We had a great guide for the trip. Lots of time to wander around the town. There is a mix of high and art and regular tourist stuff. Nobody doing the hard sell. Lots of great places for lunch. A very good day trip.

Average tour. - This tour was a nice side trip into the countryside just north of Cabo. It was pretty average because our guide was very hard to understand. He skipped some stops because no could understand him when he asked if we were interested. He gave us his version of the history of the region. He did give us a good recommendation for a luncheon restaurant. All in all, not worth the price.

Skip - This was just a ride north. Not much more! You are on your own unless you want another tequila tasting

Unnecessary Tourist Store Stops - The description stated “see beautiful Todo Santos”. We loved the town, very quaint but was disappointed that our tour also included a stop at a roadside blanket stand, then a stop at a jewelry store and finally a tequila shop. Would have preferred spending this time exploring the town. Will take a cab or bus next time at half the price. FYI. Hotel California has absolutely no connection to the Eagles song.

Lies, Kickbacks, and Boredom - Do not take this trip. First, the ride up there is too long and you stop at a dilapidated blanket manufacturer to see a 5-minute example of how they make simple blankets, but the purpose of the stop seems to be to sell blankets, many that could not have been made by the loom shown. I assume there is a kickback to the trip planner for this. Then the worst of the trip is the tequila tasting, which happens before you are offered lunch. The tequila representative told flat-out lies about Mexican tequila to make it sound more prestigious and you better buy the over-price drink now, which again the trip planner must be getting a kickback from. The main lie that is told is that Mexico tequila is triple distilled and U.S. tequila is only double distilled. This is false, almost all tequila in the world is double-distilled, and very few are triple-distilled. Shame on this trip planner for allowing this. Then there is a quick 5-7 minute drive around town and you are then sent on your own to walk around, that's it. Boring and not worth the cost.
