Great local day trip to Tivoli outside Rome - This was a great tour departing for Tivoli and visiting the two UNESCO world heritage sites there. Full day, with stop in town for lunch. The tour was well run and our guide and transport was great. Bring water and other necessities like umbrella. You are on your feet a long time and really would be a challenge to get around if you have mobility issues. I would confirm with the company on specifics. We did not do the tour lunch option and there are many restaurants in the charming town of Tivoli to choose from. Hadrian's Villa in the morning, stop in Tivoli for lunch, then meet up near entry of Villa d'Este for 2nd tour. The fountains at Villa d'Estewere sadly not on, after some heavy local rainfall. Fascinating to see the ingenuity at Hadrian's Villa and make that connection of the emperor to other world sites. Meeting point was well described and we had no trouble finding it -- note that when you arrive at the street side metro stop location, it has two entry points A & B, which are well marked.

Great day trip to the UNESCO Villas in Tivoli - This tour was expertly managed. The meet up was exactly as described and the bus easily transported us to the two villas. Plenty of restaurants in the charming town of Tivoli to enjoy for lunch on the break between sites. This is a somewhat strenuous tour. There is close to two hours of walking at each of the villas, uneven ground, plus all the steps steps at Villa d’Este. .There is an elevator, but not sure how this is managed if you are on a group tour. Very enjoyable day and Marcia took great care of us all throughout the day.

Fast-paced tour. Beautiful day trip! Wear walking shoes! - Beautiful day trip from Rome! But keep in mind that there is a lot of walking, steep stairs and inclines. Also tour was very rushed due to the vast amount of things to see in a short amount of time. Guide was wonderfulful. If you don't mind a good workout and a full, active day this tour could be for you!

good tours, bad bus - Excellent tours of Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este. However, the bus was not satisfactory. There were no cloth hair protectors, even though the seat backs had velcro to attach them. The bus was very warm. The A/C was minimal at best, even after the bus had been driving for 1/2 hour. On such a warm day, that was unacceptable.

Tivoli trip - I felt Hadrian's Villa was rather underwhelming. It was extensive but only ruins. The garden at Villa D'Este was very impressive built on a hillside with many water features. The villa itself not especially interesting. The included lunch was poor

Difficult to grasp - Our guide was very friendly but we could not understand her English very well. She was very informative and I think she knew the history well. It was more strenuous than moderate exercise for this 69 year old. I did it but it was a challenge.
