The Tijuca National Park, a Brazilian stronghold for comprehensive nature conservation, is recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. It’s the most frequented park throughout Brazil, centrally situated within Rio. Due to its non-continuous terrain, it’s integrated within the urban perimeter of the city. The Tijuca Forest, with its intriguing blend of natural habitat and urban lifestyle, constitutes a significant part of Rio’s history. Hosting an array of unique features, it’s one of Rio’s prime eco destinations, clothed in lush Atlantic Rainforest and abundant in striking flora, fauna, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, caves, and mountains. On our signature Eco Tour, we’ll explore the Forest Sector’s key attractions, trekking through the verdant streets and trails of the National Park ranging from effortless to moderate difficulty.
