- Cattsperr Hole - We will explore through and around Mangrove Keys, Beds of Sea Grasses and Sand Bars. Birds, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, shells, manatees a dolphins are some of the wildlife we may encounter. Capt Yak will immerse you in this vital ecosystem and provide you with information on the abundant wildlife and plant life that you will encounter on this 3 hour tour. Don’t worry about getting tired, your route will be based on the tide and wind to make the paddle as easy and enjoyable as possible. Midway through the tour you will stop at Shell Key and have time for a stroll, take a dip in the warm gulf waters, look for that special shell, have a snack or just relax and take it all in. On the return trip you will continue to be mesmerized with your interactions with your guide. With nearly 30 years experience conducting field research around the world and working in zoos Greg Has acquired a vast amount of knowledge that crosses over to his passion of kayaking Shell Key Preserve for many years.

Embark on a 3-hour guided excursion through the crucial ecosystem known as Shell Key Preserve.
With extensive field research worldwide and nearly three decades of experience in various US Zoos, Capt Yak offers a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna you’ll come across.
Glide smoothly on some of the most pleasant, superior paddling Sit-on-top single or tandem kayaks.
Our journey will lead us through mangrove passageways, over seagrass beds, and sandbars as we encounter wildlife. We’ll make an intermission at Shell Key, where you can wander, swim, uncover the perfect shell, or just unwind and absorb the milieu.
On the way back, Capt Yak will continue to impart his expertise, captivating you with his narratives.
