Begin your morning with a visit to the Thimphu Chorten, a stupa built in honor of the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. The golden spires and bells of the chorten are a sight to behold, and you’ll often find locals prostrating and circumambulating around it. As the day progresses, make your way to the Tashichho Dzong, the impressive fortress that houses the secretariat building and the throne room of His Majesty the King. At Bagdogra airport, we were greeted by our driver Mr. Kumar with his Inova car to take us to Phuentsholing as arranged by Nature Wings. On the way, at our request, he took us to the restaurant Motorists Inn (on NH27, Karjipara, Jalpaiguri) where we had a very good lunch with delicious Boroli fish curry.
