We begin by travelling to Pella, the hometown of Alexander the Great, where we will tour the historical site and museum. The archaeological diggings have unearthed fascinating relics of the old city and beautifully intricate mosaics now on display at the museum. From there, we move on to Edessa, taking time to experience the park and renowned waterfalls. The trip will then proceed to Vergina, the former capital of the Macedonian Kingdom and home to one of Greece’s most stunning museums. There will be free time to dine. We will tour the museum, home to the burial place of King Phillip the 2nd, father of Alexander the Great, and a collection of stunning and priceless golden artefacts. Finally, we return to Thessaloniki.
