The vertical cliffs of Meteora, rising up to 400m above Kalambaka, offer absolute isolation, inner peace, and harmony. The historical monasteries located at the top of the cliffs, are a true wonder of the world and a testament to human determination and devotion.

  • Varlaam Monastery - Saint Varlaam Monastery is one of the six remaining monasteries built on the towering rocks of Meteora, Greece. It is an Eastern Orthodox monastery that is part of the Meteora and is situated at the top of a rocky precipice that is 373 metres above the valley floor.

The entire surface (500 m2) of the top of the pillar is covered by the monastery buildings, which are built in such a manner that the various natural and man-made elements blend into one harmonious whole.
