Similan with Seastar - Travelled with my kids, 7 & 8 years old. The whole experience was like being on a giant school-trip. Lots of lots of people and a guide always yelling to get us to where we were suppose to. - Snorkeling time was only 2/4 stops - 40 minutes each. Too short! - Guide spoke poor English too fast in a megaphone. Very difficult to hear what she said. - Guides not very service minded or friendly. More like they hosted a schooltrip. Did not really seem to care about children’s need or take them into consideration in managing the group. - Boat staff was friendly. - Boat was too big and crowded. At least 50-60 persons. Was a catamaran with two decks but had to sit at your seat all time boat was moving. And from there you could not see out. When it stood still second deck was crowded. Very boring for children since the boat ride is about 1,5 hour only to get to the islands from Khao Lak. At least it would have been nice to look out and see flying fish or the surrounding. Standing up or walking around was not permitted. - Islands are beautiful. But crowded with lots of tourists. Also not very relaxing because of guides always yelling for their group to gather. Always boats coming for pickup or drop off. People everywhere. - Food at Similan was ok. But breakfast and dinner served from the travelling company was not fresh, served as buffet in a very very very loud and crowded room where we felt as it was total chaos. - Toilets smelled terrible. Would not recommend this company. Especially not with kids. Would recommend early bird in smallest group possible. Or private tour if possible.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- RUN AWAY - The whole experience was like being on a giant school-trip. Too too many people, and this fact kill the full experience… - when you arrived in the pier, you realize the number of people who has booked the same trip than you and this « VIP tour » has nothing VIP… you queued during 30 minutes under the sun, to obtain your tag number after as a sheep, you queued again to have a colored bracelet ( all the colors of the rainbow are used as they got probably more than 20 boats leaving one after the other one). You have access to a hall, a buffet breakfast is provided, very cheap quality but can help if you are hungry. The full pre-departure process will take one hour and half… that’s probably why the stops are limited and shorter than planned (they need time to sort the sheep !! ) If you plan to have a beer or two for lunch or the day BUY THEM HERE AS IT WILL BE YOUR LAST CHANCE - Before leaving a guide gave us instructions in poor English and too fast in a megaphone. Very difficult to hear what she said. - Staff is not very service minded or friendly. When we talk to them, we can see we bother them. Its like they have hosted a school trip for a million times, they are bored. They are speaking to us as we were stupid. Don’t wear your mask upside down please…don’t steal rock, shell or sand from the beach as we don’t go to your place to take things from you neither… WTH !!! You need a towel ? sign here, you want to go in water without a life jacket ? sign there .. mask costs 1000thb if you damage it .. etc SO BORING !!! - Boat was too crowded. At least 50-60 persons. Was not a real catamaran… it has two decks but had to sit inside with absolutely ZERO vision on the outside from your seat, the boat was moving and jumping a lot. When it stood for a stop, still second deck was crowded. Very boring since the boat ride is about 1,5 hour to get to the first islands from Khao Lak, no music or entertainment whatsoever. At least it would have been nice to look out and see flying fish or the surrounding. Standing up or walking around was not permitted at ALL. - Islands are beautiful. But so crowded with thousand of tourists. Also not very relaxing because of guides always yelling for their group to gather. Always boats coming for pickup or drop off. People everywhere, everytime !!! - The lunch break for 1h20 on Ko Miang island and not 2 hours as in the description, was a total nightmare, had to queue as we were in area in jail, hundreds of us lining to get your tray of food. Then lined again to have some Brit added to a bowl. Then you need to find a spot to sit (picnic tables) but there is some many people, we are all as crows watching for free table !! The lunch was closer to dog food than « delicious Thai lunch » some prawn, almost raw squid with overcooked piece of fish, dry kind of chicken nuggets. On this island which is national park, no way to have a beer or smoking (no mention of that in the description neither, so forget a holidays cocktail to celebrate your holidays !!! One more disappointment ) Last stop was 45 minutes instead of 1 hour on Bangu, island number 9. Then 1h15 of sailing to get back, there again, you have to queue with hundreds to see which is your bus number and wait 45 minutes before leaving, as exhausted we have decided to take a cab and stop this crap day for good.

Not again - Not a great experience. It was overbooked too many people on a small speedboat. Felt very rushed through the excursion.
