Setting Off on a New Adventure

As a marine biologist, my life is often spent exploring the depths of the ocean, but every now and then, I find myself drawn to the serene beauty of freshwater adventures. This time, my journey took me to the rugged landscapes of Terlingua, Texas, where I embarked on the Rio Grande Canyon Float adventure. The promise of floating through the canyons of the Rio Grande, surrounded by the Chihuahuan Desert’s unique flora and fauna, was too enticing to resist.

The day began at the Terlingua headquarters, where I met our guides, Erica and Erin. Their warm smiles and easygoing nature immediately put me at ease.
