This quintessential via ferrata route entails a traverse at high altitudes that daringly scales cliff sides up to 600 feet over the valley floor beneath, with thrilling exposures at sections that would be insurmountable without the metallic cables and grips throughout. The Telluride Via Ferrata allows you to feast your eyes on the unsurpassed scenic views of Bridal Veil Falls (Colorado’s tallest free-falling waterfall), the town of Telluride, and the adjacent San Juan Mountains peaks.
- Not recommended for children younger than 10 years old or shorter than 5’0”.
- Not recommended for those with a severe fear of heights.
- Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness, and be capable of hiking an uneven, rocky trail at above 10,000’.

Colorado Rocky Mountain High - Off road in Telluride - I have been going to Telluride, CO annually for skiing along with a summer trip now and then. This past September 2023 I made my first visit there on a fall leaf viewing road trip. While staying over a couple of days in Telluride we took an off road jeep excursion up to Imogene Pass with Telluride OffRoad. Adventures. I can't believe I had never done this before. All I can say is it is a must do experience, and Herb, our guide and company owner, was outstanding not only as a driver, but also full of local history and information. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

Highlight of Telluride - There are no words. This was the best excursion I have ever done! I was concerned I wouldn’t have the strength or endurance, but it was a perfect 6-ish mile/5 hour outing! Our guide, Chris Dickson was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, encouraging, guided our every move, and took THE best pictures! Unbelievable feat! A must-do in Telluride.

Cliff walking in Telluride SUPERB adventure - The Telluride Via Ferrata was one of the BEST and EXCITING mountain experiences we have done in the 35 years our Two Moons Hiking Club has been out there in nature. Our guide Jesse kept us SAFE and was very informative on the terrain and geology. We backpack most years for a week in the high country in North America, have high pointed many states (Whitney, Kings Peak, Mt Hood, Elbert, Guadalupe, Black Mesa), Yukon River rafted 100+ miles, and 4-wheel drive Telluride to Ouray. We highly recommend Mountain Trip in Telluride. This trip we are age 65, 70, and 78 so any old guys can go have fun. GET OUT THERE.

I will never forget this day!! - We had the best time! I would never go without a guide from Mountain Trip. I felt safe the whole time. Tom, our guide, gave us confidence and made us not scared with making the scary moves. Just don't look down!!! I am glad to pay the extra fee to make sure this fantastic experience is maintained in a safe manner for years to come. Thank you Mountain Trip for all that you do!

Bachelorette Trip of a Lifetime! - We had such an amazing time! I went with my bachelorette party on the Via Ferrata and both our guides were supportive, kind, and patient but most of all fun with a group of 8 ladies. We even saw base jumpers from across the valley! Thanks for an amazing trip!

Be prepared for a most transformative and exhilarating activity! - Be prepared for a most transformative activity! Smiles, focus, fear, awe, elation, sense of vastness, ending with the knowledge you have just accomplished a milestone! Wow! Can not thank your team enough for a wonderful experience. Grant, our guide, was a rockstar with everyone...especially our kiddos. The perfect fit! We were all nervous and throughout the exhilarating hike, he was patient, kind and gave incredibly detailed instruction...I know both of our kiddos accomplished the entire climb because he instilled confidence and was so encouraging with them. Put this one on your definite to do list as it really is a once in a lifetime experience.

Thrilling Adventure - What an amazing experience! Our family of 4 really loved our Via Ferrata hike with Mountain trip. Our guide, Grant, was friendly, competent and experienced. He explained the proper technique to use and stressed safety along the route, so that we all felt comfortable - one of the best tour guides I have ever had. The views were amazing! I would do this again and would highly recommend Mountain Trip!

So happy I found Mountain Trip! - Our group of 4 women did the Telluride via ferrata. Jesse was our guide. He was fantastic, personable, communicative, knowledgeable and made us feel safe the entire time. Jesse explained the route in detail, properly prepared us for the trip, and took photos for us. I communicated with Mountain Trip prior to the trip and they answered all our questions and were easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend Mountain Trip for your adventure and will be using them in the future!
