The Telica volcano, which is part of the Maribios mountain range, is situated 30 kilometers away from the city of Leon. Standing at 1060 meters tall, it features a crater that’s 120 meters deep and 700 meters wide. Its last significant eruption occurred in 1948. Upon reaching the crater, one can observe the vast amounts of smoke and gases being emitted from the volcano, along with lava and illuminated rocks within.

Worth it!! - I had such an amazing time!! Still speechless...the hike was beautiful and not too exhausting, seeing the sunset and the sunrise from the top of the vulcano the next morning was even more impressive. Our Guides Sam & Norlan were very nice and so well prepared - especially the food was a 10/10 for a Camping trip!Thanks for the nice experience, definitely not my last time camping on a vulcano! :-)
