Žemaitija National Park is a national park in Lithuania. It is located on the Samogitian Highlands, 45 km away from the Baltic Sea. The park’s terrain is dotted with lakes, which constitute over 7% of its area. The largest of these is Lake Plateliai, with an area of 12.05 km² and a maximum depth of 47 m. The town of Plateliai, which lies on the lake’s edge, serves as the headquarters for the park’s management and is a favored spot for visitors.
