• Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah - Known as the “Baby Taj,” Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is a stunning Mughal mausoleum in Agra. Constructed between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, it features exquisite white marble with delicate inlay work (pietra dura) and intricate lattice screens. It is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal, showcasing early use of marble instead of red sandstone in Mughal architecture.
• Mehtab Bagh - Mehtab Bagh is a historic Mughal garden situated on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan, it is designed as a charbagh (four-part garden) and provides one of the best views of the Taj Mahal, especially at sunset. The garden was intended as part of a symmetrical layout aligned with the Taj, enhancing its beauty and reflection across the river.

After sightseeing, enjoy shopping in Agra, known for its exquisite handicrafts made of marble and softstone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work.
