• Takaro Trails Cycle Tours - Day Tours - Join the shuttle at 10am from this location. The tour package includes bike, pannier, and helmet rental, a water bottle, route instructions, a trail map, wine collection service, and return transport to Napier. (Minimum of 2 people per booking).
• Cape Kidnappers - This is the starting point, where the van will transfer participants. Cyclists will be set up on their bikes (e-bikes are available for a more relaxed ride) and receive a route briefing before setting off. Enjoy the scenery and visit various wineries at your own pace. Stop by Hygge Cafe, open 7 days a week in summer, for a coffee or snack during the ride.
• Clearview Estate Winery - OPTION for Wine Tasting and food. The rustic cellar door at Clearview Estate offers a warm welcome. Depart with a fabulous bottle or two of their renowned wines, or perhaps a few cases for your collection! Lunch is available here, and bookings are highly recommended during the summer months. Open Wednesday to Sunday until 5pm in summer.
• Elephant Hill - OPTION for Wine Tasting and small plates. By this point, participants will be ready to enjoy fine wine at Elephant Hill, known for its stunning location and architecture. Tastings and food are available, with bookings advised. Check for opening days as they vary throughout the year.
• Askerne Vineyards - OPTION for wine tastings and picnic lunches. Askerne Estate Winery, a single estate winery in the Havelock North winegrowing region, is dedicated to producing elegant wines that reflect its unique site and winemaking philosophy. Visit the cellar door to sample an extensive range of award-winning wines. Bookings are generally not required here! Indulge in a gourmet picnic in the picturesque vineyard setting. Create a personalized combination from the selection of gourmet foods paired with one of the award-winning wines. OPEN 7 days!
• Te Mata Estate Winery & Vineyards - OPTION for Wine Tasting. Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family-owned, producing internationally acclaimed wines exclusively from its Hawke’s Bay vineyards. A stop here to taste their wines is highly recommended. OPEN Monday to Saturday.
• Black Barn Vineyards - This is the endpoint where the shuttle van will meet participants at 4pm for a return transfer to the starting point. The adventure concludes at Black Barn winery, where participants can choose to relax with a wine tasting. Visit the bistro for a late lunch, with the kitchen closing at 2.30pm. OPEN 7 days.

This is our most sought-after tour! Delight in a full-day, self-guided biking adventure on exciting e-bikes, visiting some of the region’s top wineries for abundant wine tastings. The journey begins at 10am with a transfer to the breathtaking Cape Kidnappers, where the easy, flat cycling route commences. This trail passes by five award-winning wineries along a 20km stretch of scenic, easy-to-navigate cycle paths.

Meet the van at the final winery, Black Barn Vineyard in Havelock North, for a 4pm transfer back to your starting point. Experience the best wineries of Hawke’s Bay on a bike for an unforgettable day!

For those who have booked this tour on a Saturday or public holiday, it is highly recommended to make reservations at the wineries you wish to visit.

• At the time of booking please advise your height so we can allocate the correct sized bikes for you.
• NOTE: tour starts with a 10am shuttle from our base in Napier to the first winery and a 4pm shuttle from the last winery back to Napier.
• Opening days and hours at wineries vary, we will advise you where possible
• Please note that wineries charge for tastings (this is not included). The charge is around NZ$15-50 per person and is usually rebated against any purchases
• On Saturdays and public holidays, BOOKINGS are recommended at the wineries you want to visit. Te Mata and Askerne welcome walk-ins however!
