Up to expectation - The guide is nice and polite, with good English. He drove safely and the car is comfortable. Though the car was broken down during the return way, we enjoyed the day.

Just came back from my Georgia trip... -
Just came back from my Georgia trip and I can definitely say this tour was the best part of it. A full day tour from Tbilisi all the way to Kazbegi is an adventure full of excitement and joy. We had many stops on the way and there are some activities to do paragliding, rafting, buggy riding. I should say our tour guide, Irakli, made this tour a success with his vast knowledge and friendly personality. If you go to Georgia and do not take this tour you haven't been really to Georgia!

We had an amazing time on this tour... -
We had an amazing time on this tour, hitting the highlights on the way from Tbilisi up north to Stepantsminda. The real highlight was our guide Irakali--a wonderfully informed, warm and friendly Georgian. We could tell he was well loved by fellow Georgians by how he was greeted everywhere we went. We stopped at several places and saw old churches, monasteries, scenic viewpoints, etc. While I can't remember the details or even the names of these gorgeous places, he could remember all the historic details, including tying the stories together when he was showing us new places with intertwining history. We were enthralled with the countryside, noting the floral changes with the elevation as we approached and entered the Caucuses.

The advertisement makes it sound like you are only going to Kazbegi and back... but no, you get to see A LOT!!! This also includes the old capital Mtskheta. We stop over in various monasteries/churches on the way. So I highly recommend this tour.

The trip was good, irakli the guide... -
The trip was good, irakli the guide was well versed guy. I was disappointed to find the car to be VW-Passat instead of Mercedes as shown in the offer. The 4X4 car which took us in a later stage to kazbegi was very old and half damaged. He was actually overtaking cars and flying all the way to go back to tbilisi as quick as possible. All in all, the trip was good, the guide was knowledgeable and good in English. I recommend it but i feel i paid more than what i got pricey

This was one of the worst tours I... -
This was one of the worst tours I have ever had. The driver was the worst part, by far. He was overly aggressive, passing anyone who was in front of him even if we were on a curvy mountain road. I would never get into a car with this man again. I cannot believe the tour company keeps using him as I have seen other reviews about a bad driver. The tour guide was pleasant but new and not very knowledgeable past what she was told about the sites we visited. Speaking of sites, they failed to stop at one of the sites on the itinerary. Luckily, I had already seen it on another tour the day before. When they asked me about lunch, I suggested we wait an hour but I guess they took that as an invitation to end the tour 2 hours early and just drop me off at my hotel. I have less faith in Viator as a company I can trust to provide safe and valuable tours after this tour.

It is supposed to be a landscaping... -
It is supposed to be a landscaping trip and i was more worried about the reckless driving of the guide of the tour than anything else. They put both my partner and me in a small tourism and drove us through mountain roads at average 100km/h until reaching Kazbegi, violating several traffic rules and overtaking everyone in the way no matter condition of the road or visibility. The come back was even worse, he was in a rush to go back to the city. We had two small incidents that were a near miss.

For you to have a clear picture of what we went through, we did not see a single car overtaking us in the full duration of the trip. It was a nice place to visit, but the road experience ruined our trip.

Kazbegi is a very beautiful place... -
Kazbegi is a very beautiful place. It is a must go place. However, my tour was disappointing.

The tour was supposed to be a private tour in a 4X4 from Tbilisi. After getting confirmation from Viator, I contacted the local tour operator. The communication was OK till the tour day. Instead of a private 4X4, I was initially put in a shared car. When I complained, the local tour operator started giving me excuse that since the weather is bad it was a very sunny day, although it rained the previous day, a 4X4 cannot climb the hill for the church which is last 10 KM of the 200 KM tour. Therefore, there is no point of arranging a separate car for rest 190 KM! I was offered the back seat in the shared car with obstructing views through the window.
When I told that I will talk to Viator about this. He got scared, and arranged a car for me from Mtskheta. However, the day was already spoiled. Making an issue with the tour guide at the start of a supposed to be wonderful tour is the last thing. Due to this mess, the first tour guide was never friendly. The second tour guide, Alex, is a nice guy. He was very friendly till a stopover, where he met the first tour guide.
