Additional Information

Embark on a journey to Kakheti with our tour, a region in Georgia known for its stunning landscapes and excellent wines. The majority of Georgia’s wine grapes, nearly 75%, are cultivated in this region. Evidences suggest that Kakheti has a rich wine-making history dating back thousands of years. Each village in Kakheti boasts its unique wine variants like Kindzmarauli, Akhasheni, Teliani, and Mukuzani that are named after their respective places of production.

The journey to Kakheti encompasses multiple tourist attractions including the Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe and the Sighnaghi – the City of Love. A noteworthy part of the excursion is tasting the traditional Georgian bread ‘Shoti’, traditionally cooked in a deep clay oven called ‘tone’. If you join us during the harvest period, you can look forward to a visit to one of Kakheti’s largest wine factories, where you get to taste and purchase their exquisite wines.

Awesome trip - Taking the tour from Tbilisi to Kakheti in Georgia with WST Georgia was an incredibly pleasant experience. Our tour guide, Anna, was the highlight of the trip. Not only was she cute and smart, but her proficiency in English and Russian languages made communication effortless. Anna went above and beyond, providing detailed knowledge about every aspect of the tour and ensuring that every trip member felt like part of a family. Her caring nature and dedication to our comfort and enjoyment were truly commendable. I wish Anna all the best in her career, and I highly recommend WST Georgia for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable tour experience in Georgia.

“A Day in Kakheti: Wine, History, and Romance - First of all Anna was our guide, she was very informative and would answer any and all questions. Thank you for the great experience. Kakheti wine region tour was a delightful blend of culture, history, and gastronomy. We started with a cheese and bread tasting, followed by a visit to Saint Nino’s Church, ancient architecture, adorned with religious paintings and soft candlelights. The historical relics and sense of continuity make it a place where both believers and admirers of history can connect with Georgia’s spiritual heritage. The charming, city of Sighnaghi, known as the “City of Love,” stole our hearts with its cobblestone streets and panoramic views. Lunch at a local winery, paired with exceptional wines, was a highlight. We learned about the ancient qvevri winemaking technique and every wine that is made in different regions of the country. Overall, Kakheti left us with lasting memories of its beauty and hospitality. 🍷🌿🏰

Enjoyable Time - We had a very good experience with WST Georgia. We went to Sighnaghi and Kakheti with them. Anna was our guide who was very friendly and warm, fluent in both English and Russian and every question was welcomed by her. The schedule was very suitable; start with buying tradional bread and cheese, after that we wnt to nina’s church which was like a piece of heaven, and very scenic Sighnaghi town and end with lunch and wine testing. I really recommend this tour and we had very enjoyable time with them.
