• Wadi Dawkha - Wadi Dawkah, located on the northern side of Salalah, is a UNESCO Heritage site. It features a vast natural garden of Frankincense Trees, the source of Dhofari Frankincense. There are over 1200 Frankincense Trees in the wadi. A signboard at the park’s main entrance explains the sap tapping process. Each tree produces three to four kilograms of luban (frankincense) each season. Dhofari Frankincense is considered the finest in the world.
• The Lost City of Wubar - The Lost City of Ubar is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ruins of Ubar were discovered in the village known as Shisr in the Dhofar Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman, about a 3-hour drive from Salalah and approximately 55 km from the main road of Thumrait. Discovered in the early 1990s, it was hailed as one of the greatest discoveries of that time. Archaeological excavations suggest this site was involved in the incense trade, likely for inland trade. Ubar vanished into the desert sands and has been dubbed the “Atlantis of the Sands.” This legendary ancient kingdom, known as Ubar, was said to have existed in one of the most inhospitable places on earth.
• Empty Quarter - The Empty Quarter (known as Rub al Khali in Arabic) in the Dhofar Region of Oman is the main highlight of the tour, offering one of the best desert experiences in the world. Visitors will be taken to the Empty Quarter to explore the largest sand desert in the world. Camels can be seen there as well. The tour includes driving and trekking on the mesmerizing sand dunes, with sandboarding available. Visitors can also witness the sunset over the desert sands.
