10/10 pizza making class, thanks to Luca! - This was an amazing experience! The resturant it was hosted in was beautiful, and our instructor Luca was so informative & patient. We did get stuck with a group that was very rude & made the experience a bit uncomfy, but that didn't ruin our fun! I would definitely do this again :)

Cooking Sicilian - What a fun time! We cooked, ate, cooked some more, and then ate some more. Frederick, our chef, was wonderful and patient with us as we learned to make pasta and pizza. The food was delicious and all the waiters were lovely. I highly recommend this activity. Just be sure to go hungry because there is lots of food to eat besides the pasta and pizza.

What a fun 🤩 and experience and chance to meet others - Learning how to make pasta, pizza crust and all the ingredients for toppings was so much fun with the other participants ! The staff was so helpful with demonstrations, tips and went above and beyond with an extra delicious pasta dish and dessert! We enjoyed meeting other participants from England and Ukraine.

AMAZING! - AMAZING! We went for a pizza-making class but also learned how to make pasta. We started with coffee, made pasta, had some wine and appetizers, and then made pizza. After we were done with cooking we sat to eat what we had made with some more wine. Paolo and Francesca were incredible chefs and made our experience so much fun. We would highly recommend it, as this was a highlight of our week in Sicily.

A class with Great Taste - First off I am an Orsini in Sicily from NY. You would think I would be a good Italian cook. Far from it. I do eat Italian food well and am great at doing dishes. I took this pizza and pasta class and even though I was not good at it I had a GREAT time and our chef Maurizio kept it fun. Being the off season and their first day open for the season it was only my wife and I. That made it easy for me to be the worse student in the class. I did learn how to make pasta and I made a pizza that I really liked and I am a pizza lover. Even my wife who I consider a wonderful cook picked up many pointers from Maurizio. Before we even began they brought us a meat and cheese tray, wine and water. After we were done making the pasta and pizza we sat down and enjoyed every bite. Plenty of wine to go with that followed by Mauizio's after dinner deserts. Now we can go back to NY, hang our certificate, put on our Messina aprons and make meals for our neighbors. This class is a must if you are in Taormina.

Delicious and fun family or couples experience. - This was such a fun experience as we not only got to make pizza but also enjoy other foods made by the restaurant! Delicious and fun family or couple experience.

An authentic learning experience. - This was in a real pizza restaurant with a wood oven. Learned the techniques of an experienced pizziaolo. There were some interesting tricks that aren't commonly known. Plus, a pasta lesson thrown in. It wasn't just "do this," but included a bit of the science of why.

Highlight of our holiday - We had a wonderful morning with the super friendly Paolo and Maurizio, learning to make pasta and pizza. A break in between for wine, fresh bread, cheese, salami and olives. Then at the end we ate our pizzas and the team had also turned our pasta into pasta alla Norma to give that a try too. I had no idea macaroni was supposed to look like that! We had two teenagers with us and they enjoyed it too. I think it might end up being the highlight of our holiday! It was lovely to socialise with the others in our class and get to know people from all over the world. Thank you Ristorante Pizzeria Porta Messina, and thank you trip advisor for helping us find such an amazing place. I would definitely go back!

Amazing experience in Taormina - This was THE most fun experience! My husband and I used to own two Italian restaurants, so we thought we knew a thing or two….not! lol, the beauty of Italy is not only learning how to cook authentic, but also doing it with strangers that become friends at the end. The class was informative, immersive and lots of amazing food to eat at the end. Grazie Mille for this lovely time❤️. I also highly recommend visiting the restaurant separately from the class if you get a chance.!! Porto Messina restaurant is in the best spot in Taormina and it’s a GORGEOUS space outside to people watch and enjoy a spectacular meal.

One of the highlights of our holiday to Taormina! - A fabulous morning, very informative with great company, plenty of laughter, great food and plenty to drink... My son, Gabriel, returned the very next day to learn to make arancini! 😃 100% recommend! x
