Covering 14,763 square kilometers, the Serengeti challenges perceptions of distance. It is home to the “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard) and the beautiful Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa.

The crater is one of Africa’s most impressive geological attractions and a haven for wildlife. The day concludes with a hearty dinner and a restful night in chosen accommodations. Rest well for the next day’s descent into the massive crater.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - On the final day of the safari, an early start is essential. After a quick breakfast, the descent into the crater floor begins around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, with a floor of about 260 square kilometers and a depth of over 2,000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. Keeping a camera ready is highly recommended. The crater is home to African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, the ascent to the crater’s top exit begins. This marks the final leg of the safari, with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. Guests are dropped off at their preferred location in Arusha or Moshi by 6 PM.
