Mount Kilimanjaro - Elevation: 1830m/6000ft to 2740m/9000ft
Departing from Moshi a 45-minute drive will take you through the Village of Machame to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. We will patiently wait for our permits to be issued while watching the hustle and bustle of operations as many crews prepare for the journey ahead Enjoy the beautiful rainforest scenery and windy trails while your guide tells you about the local flora and fauna and natural wildlife. At these lower elevations the trail can be muddy and quite slippery. We highly recommend gaiters and trekking poles here. When you reach the camp, our mountain support crew will take care of the necessities, pitch the tents, and prepare lunch. Throughout the entire Marangu route, you will be spending your nights in special huts. They offer a great alternative to those who do not want to sleep in tents.
Overnight stay Mandara Hut – 1 night (Lunch and Dinner).

Kilimanjaro stands as one of the planet’s most reachable high peaks, attracting travelers worldwide. Many mountaineers make it to the edge of the crater armed only with a hiking pole, appropriate attire, and sheer will. Those who manage to reach Uhuru Point, the apex, or Gillman’s Point on the crater’s brim, they will have rightfully earned their climber’s certificates and unforgettable experiences.
However, there’s much more to Kili than just its peak. The uphill journey is like a spherical climate journey, from tropical areas to the Arctic.
Before you even cross the national park boundary (at the 2,700m mark), cultivated lower slopes transition into dense montane forests, the home to elusive creatures like elephants, leopards, buffalos, the threatened Abbot’s duiker, among other small antelopes and primates. As you ascend, you’ll come across the moorland zone, a territory carpeted with a blanket of immense heather embellished with otherwordly giant lobelias.
