The Call of Kilimanjaro

As a former professional athlete, I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of pushing my limits. So when I heard about the Lemosho Route on Mount Kilimanjaro, I knew it was a challenge I couldn’t resist. Our chef, Joseph, ensured we were well-fed, catering to our dietary needs with a variety of delicious meals. It was clear that Bless Africa took great care of their team, and it was heartening to see the guides and porters so happy in their work.

The Summit and Beyond

The final push to the summit was both mentally and physically demanding. We set off just after midnight, our path illuminated by headlamps as we made our way through the scree towards Stella Point. The climb was grueling, but the sight of the sunrise over Mawenzi was a reward like no other. As we reached Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, a wave of exhilaration washed over us. We had done it.

The descent was swift, and as we made our way back to Mweka Gate, the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. We had not only conquered Kilimanjaro but had done so with the support of an incredible team.
