Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Guests will be collected from their hotel in Arusha. After meeting the guide, the journey continues with a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its varied landscape. The park is especially famous for its numerous ancient baobab trees and the largest population of elephants in the country. It offers unique opportunities to observe the interactions within elephant families. A game drive through the park will be conducted, focusing on areas with reported animal sightings. The primary focus will be on predators (lion, cheetah, and leopard), as they are more elusive than herbivores (giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, etc.).
The group will then proceed to the Tarangire River picnic site for lunch, enjoying the stunning view of the river and wildlife. Small monkeys and baboons may attempt to disturb the lunch, but there is no need for concern. After lunch, the game drive will continue. The park exit is scheduled for around 4:30 pm, followed by a transfer to the accommodation.
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - The Ngorongoro Crater is considered the premier wildlife park in Tanzania due to its breathtaking landscape. Being situated in a crater makes wildlife viewing more accessible. Following an early breakfast, the group will head to the Ngorongoro viewpoint to admire the stunning view. The surreal sight is sure to captivate. The journey will then proceed with a descent into the crater to search for the elusive black rhinos. Rhinos are the most challenging to spot in this magnificent crater, as most animals are easier to see due to the crater’s floor setting.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the highlight of Tanzania’s parks, offering the most beautiful scenery and a rich abundance of wildlife. The crater is self-sustaining for the animals, eliminating the need for migration. After lunch, a game drive will be conducted, followed by an ascent from the crater and a transfer to accommodation in Arusha or to the airport.
