Tangiers with Local views and input. - We met Arbi at the exit from the Cruise Port. He shared with us his plan to ensure we saw all of the major sites in the Medina and the Kasbah. Getting to the top of the Kasbar is quite a climb, so be aware. However Arbi, with his local knowledge took us on an easier route to reach the top. Without his knowledge we would have missed things. Like the various Mosques and churches, the multiple gates into the Kasbah, Africa Gate which looks out onto Spain and down the African coastline, Ibn Battuta the Arabian explorer, who is entombed in the Kasbah. He took us to a herbalist in the Kasbah, close to Medina, where we learnt that people who live in the region use natural remedies rather than pharmaceuticals to cure things. Wevthen walked down through the medina to Mendoubia Gardens. Unfortunately at that point I had a very low blood glucose which meant we had to cut short our walk. Arbi had planned to take us to the various Souks, Spice, Dates, and then to a "crafts" souk to experience true Arabic culture. During our walk he explained the history of Tangiers and the impact that various nations had on its development, Phoenicians, Romans, Portuguese who were in Tangiers for 200 years. Let alone the Spanish English, French, Italians and Jewish communities who let traces of their history, here in Tangiers, the gateway to Africa. All in all a very good tour, just a shame we did not get to complete it. Thanks Arbi

It is always good to have a local acquaintance when travelling to a new place: Mr. Larby is your guy! - This was a great experience. Very nice and friendly tour guide. They were very flexible and will tailor the tour according to your style and preferences. They even arranged for my taxi from and to airport. Having Mr. Larby as tour guide is like having a local trustee and friend during your trip[ in Tangier. I highly recommend to talk and arrange your trip with him not only for the tour, but also for the good recommendation for place to stay, arranging transportation, local food suggestion and many more! It is always good to have a local acquaintance when travelling to a new place: Mr. Larby is your guy! On top of all of these: the price is right! Highly recommending the tour and using his consultation!

Come to the Kasbah with Arbi - Arbi is a wonderful engaging tour guide. The fact that he’s born in the Kasbah and a student of languages and art makes it a privilege and a bonus if you’re lucky to have him for that few hours. He takes you to all the spots both local and touristy that are lovely and historical

Ok - Very basic. Walk through old town, stopping at various fresh produce market stands in medina. Also stop at our guide, Mohamed relative’s shop for coffee while viewing carpets. Enjoyed taking in the environment but would have liked more in depth dive into history and stories that only students of local history would know. 4 hour tour was actually about 2 hours.
