Highly Recommended Tour - We were not going to get off the ship in Tangier but we changed our minds and booked this tour and we were happy we did! Our English speaking guide was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Our taxi driver was attentive and was a very skilled driver negotiating the busy streets. He made the pick up and drop off points very convenient to enter and exit each area. (Other taxi drivers can be a challenge in that they want your attention) Please know that you may be picked up in a taxi for your tour instead of a company van or car which we did not realize BUT our guide and taxi driver went over and above to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Our guide started talking about the history of civilization, culture and religion. This information helped me to understand how Tangier evolved to what it is today. The first part of the tour was via taxi to the typical tourist spots, but I truly had an appreciation and better understanding of historical importance of some of these spots. The rest of the tour was a walking tour around the port where we started. If you want to know about the historical and cultural aspects of Tangier, I would highly recommend or request Akouh. Akou and the taxi driver made our experience, in Tangier, a pleasant one. I would also like to add that this is a good tour for those that need more flexibility in their schedules.

With this tour you will see all the tourist spots in one fell swoop, then you will have seen them and then you can discover the real Tangier. - Nice guide, spoke good English and took our wishes into account. Knew a lot to tell about modern Morocco. Good taxi that was always waiting for us.

Definitely worth every cent. - Excellent private tour with anwar who was patient, very well informed and wonderfully knowledgeable about tangier and broader Moroccan society and culture. He collected us from our Riad and dropped us off at a very good lunch spot, with coffee stops along the way. The attractions of tangier are mind-boggling and we really appreciated having a private guide to explain things to us, and go at our own pace.

I recommend it 100% - We did this tour on our third day in Tangier and it was one of our favorite parts. Anwar was a fantastic guide. We really enjoyed our time with him. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Tangier, Morocco in general, and the different influences of the community. We were really interested in the Jewish quarter and he helped show us more of that. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a broader perspective of the city.

I recommend this tour 100% - anwar is one of the best guides we've ever had. He's an incredibly knowledgeable native, spoke English very well, and clearly loves his country. It seemed like he had friends around every street corner across the city - it was impressive! We hit the highlights and got a great base understanding of tangier culture, architecture, and history.

So-so Tangier. - Our guide Abdullah was great and knowkedgable and his driver very capable. We did see most of what was promised but they failed to buy admission into the Cap and part of the caves in Tangier. For what we paid it felt too cheap and shorted us of the full experience. We were dropped off 45 minutes early of a time we agreed upon, shorter than the contracted 4-5 hour tour. Viator also booked us at 12:30am start which should have been 9:30am, causing additional confusion and stress the day before.

Tour was not a pleasurable experience - The tour did not provide some of the things advertised and some things were not as described. The driver was late picking us up and when he did it took him awhile on the phone sorting out the right names he was picking up. The driver first told us we had to pay for entrance to Hercules Cave and camel ride and we had to inform him that it was supposed to be included in the tour. The description did not specify which cave we would enter and of course it was the tiny and cheap one. It was not worth the time. The description said camel ride on the beach but it was just a small spot on the side of the road and only a 5 minute walk in a circle. The visit to the Medina market was a quick walk thru with no time to look around except for this specific rug store we were taken to for a pressured sales pitch to buy something. At this point we were over our 4 hour tour time and we still had not seen other areas of the market, the Kasbah, Moshe Nahon Synagogue and the Tangier American museum. One couple on the group was forcing the rest of us to stand around while the guide let them shop in stores he wanted them to go to. Three of us decided we didn’t want to wait any longer and asked to be taken back to the ship. We were told we could walk or take a taxi back. The guide had no intentions of taking us back to the port because he had let the car go with another driver. He finally took us to a taxi and agreed to pay for it and we were dropped back at the port. I definitely did not get the experience I paid for.
