Highlights
  • Marshan Palace - The Marshan Palace is a palace of the King of Morocco in the Marshan neighborhood of Tangier. Stop to explore the spectacular arhitecture and art.
  • Parc Perdicaris - The Perdicaris Park, also known as the Rmilat Forest and formerly as Villa Aidonia or Place of the Nightingales, is a public park covering 70 hectares in the Rmilat neighborhood of Tangier, Morocco. It is located on the northern slopes of the Jebel Kebir hill facing the Strait of Gibraltar, between the Cape Spartel reserve to its west and the Jebel Kebir Royal Palace to its east. It is named after Greek-American notable Ion Hanford Perdicaris, who created it in the 1870s and was kidnapped there in the mid-1904 Perdicaris Incident. Now this park is popular for picnics, exercising & panoramic sea views from its hilly hiking trails.
  • Cap Spartel - Cape Spartel is a promontory in Morocco about 1,000 feet above sea level at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, 12 km west of Tangier. It is the northwesternmost point of the African continent.
  • Caves of Hercules - The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex. Caves of Hercules. The cave has two openings, one to the sea and one to land. The sea opening is known as “The Map of Africa.” It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea opening, which is in the shape of Africa when looked at from the sea.
  • Achakkar Beach - Camel ride on the beach
  • Mendoubia Garden - The Jardin de la Mendoubia is one of the many green spaces in the city of Tangier. It is located not far from Place du 9 Avril 1947.
  • Tangier Casbah - The Kasbah of Tangier is situated in the upper part of the medina. In other words, to visit the kasbah you must make your way to the medina, a small universe bursting with life, and then navigate its steep streets to the oldest part. The former citadel dates from around the tenth century and, although it has gradually been altered, it still retains enough of its original characteristics to transport you back in time.
  • Tangier American Legation Museum - It was the first American public property abroad and is the only U.S. National Historic Landmark in a foreign country.
The legation was established on May 17, 1821 following decades of cordial relations between the U.S. and Morocco; Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah had issued a proclamation recognizing U.S. independence from Great Britain on December 20, 1777, making his nation the first to do so.
  • Moshe Nahon Synagogue - The synagogue was built by Moshe Nahon, a banker and active member of the Tangier Jewish community.
  • Medina of Tangier - Stroll through the maze of narrow streets and colorful markets in medina and immerse yourself in the local way of life. Stop in one of the panoramic terraces overlooking the old city of Tangier, relax and have a cup of mit tea. For lunch try the best Moroccan cuisine. Interested in Moroccan craftmanship? Tangier to Malaga - Our guide took us on a tour of the Kasbah and the next day he took us to the Blue City. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely use this service again. We also arranged a car transfer from the port in Algeciras to Malaga which went very well. Excellent service. Thank you!

Great tour, authentic impression, and helpful tips - I got to know Rida, and he was an awesome guide. So friendly and open, he made me feel welcome in Morocco right away! He explained what you need to know about the historical sights and also gave tips for further tours. (I personally recommend Akchour near Chefchaouen if you have time, you can hike in a beautiful mountain area there.) His family themselves have a long history in the region, so his tour seemed very authentic to me.

The Absolute Best - I had the benefit of being shown around Tangier by Rida - I felt like I was family from the moment I met him. Rida is not only smart and personable, he is also knowledgeable and very entertaining. He helped me navigate the different parts of the city, all while I learned more about the culture and experienced the people, places, food, and historical sites in a way that was unforgettable. Tangier is a unique and welcoming intersection in terms of history, art, and religion alike and Rida was able to illustrate the beauty of each facet of the city. Tangier ended up being one of my favorite cities of all my travels, and I credit the city itself as much as I credit Rida’s hospitality and warmth. I felt safe and taken care of throughout and would definitely recommend to solo travelers and groups alike.

Don’t miss Tangier with Rida! - Rida made our trip to Tangier so easy and fun. He brought us coffee and snacks to our apartment every day which really helped get us going and save us a trip out with our young child. He showed us all the spots we wanted to see and more, telling us interesting history and suggesting things we hadn’t thought of trying. He brought us to some truly amazing restaurants and beautiful shops. I also just put him in touch with my sister and was able to request specific activities and restaurants, so when she visited last week she could experience some of the same things we loved. He is very communicative, kind and funny. Highly recommend using Rida for a guide!

Don't Use Anyone Else But Them! - Best tour in Tangier. You shouldn't see the City without a knowledgeable local, and these guys don't disappoint. Especially if you're tight on time, they're the ones to hire (and they know the best restaurants, too!)
