Fabulous culinary experience - What an amazing experience! Warm, friendly, professional staff, who welcomed, informed and assisted us with great care. Every part of this experience was well thought through and organized, leading to a fun, informative, enjoyable time for us all. The ingredients were all high quality, the equipment was very user friendly, giving space for us to have fun together as we learnt. I would highly recommend this as a cultural experience as well as a really fun way to learn to cook authentic Moroccan food with friends. Very happy to have found Blue door Cuisine.

A hands on cooking and tasting experience- not to be missed! - An incredible experience-- highly recommend. We had an opportunity to interact and chat with the staff and learned about their culture, cooking and day to day lives. The hands on- cooking included making bread and chicken tagine which we were able to eat and enjoy. It was truly yummy! We also participated in a Moroccan Mint tea ceremony and had a chance to buy some of the spices and tea for home. In addition, we received all the recipes and look forward to preparing them for our family. Wonderful experience all around!

Very memorable - Fantastic experience from start to finish - we loved it!! You'll go through the market with your host to see where all of your food comes from, and then you return to a lovely, comfortable home for your authentic Moroccan cooking lesson. Everyone was knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The food was phenomenal!! As soon as I returned home to the US I recreated the recipes with ease - honestly, I cannot believe that I can now cook Moroccan food, I'm so thrilled!! This event is certainly suitable for children who are able to focus, listen, and follow instructions. Your surroundings will be clean, well air-conditioned, and inviting. My family and I 100 percent recommend this experience!

Wonderful experience and meal - Such a wonderful experience for our family! Learning how to make authentic chicken tagine along with getting to sit down with our experience guide and have lunch was fantastic. The entire staff was so great with our 6-year old, he loved every minute of it. This is a must-do activity while in Morocco!

The Highlight of Our Time in Tangier - What an extraordinarily wonderful time at Blue Door Cuisine! We always wanted to take a cooking class as a family, and this did not disappoint. This experience was a cultural exchange with an amazing team of open, fun, bright and delightful ladies. We loved that conversation, the learning, and the food! Tim and his family were wonderful hosts, and it felt like we were guests in a home away from home. We highly recommend this for folks visiting Tangier!

A MUST for all Tangier tourists - Three hours in a spotless, stylish, airy Moroccan home spent with a team of local hosts who are as knowledgeable as they are warm and welcoming: Blue Door Cuisine should be on every Tangier-visitor’s to-do list. What a feast of flavours and insights! How to make Moroccan tea, kneading our own Moroccan bread and then being taught how to make the tagine of our choice in a spotless, interactive teaching-kitchen was an experience I’ll never forget. The multilingual hosts did everything to make us feel not just at our ease but like royalty. Perhaps the highlight for me was sitting down for the meal that I had just cooked, along with my friends and the hosts. We shared conversation and culture in a unique setting. Where else would you have an opportunity to get to know locals in a local home when you’re on holiday? Holiday memories and photos are one thing, but being trained in how to make tea, bread and tagine has provided me with new skills for life; I can’t wait to try them out at home. The guarantee of catering for different dietary requirements such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan etc is another reassuring element of this experience. Blue Door may not be the cheapest thing you buy on holiday, but it is definitely worth the money.

Tasty and fun. - We had a fun and tasty lunch of our making ( with excellent guidance) for Chicken Tangine and instructions on spiced spearmint green tea. Everowas planned and timed to be informative and tasty. We got to see and smell a dozen market fresh seasonings as well as tasting some in the tea mix. The couscous making and cooking with the chicken and vegetables was fun and the carmelized onion, raisin and almond toppings was yummy. While we did this with two other couples, they were set up to have each of us on separately spaced prepping areas and burners. It was a great way to tune into Moroccan Cooking and Tangiers and it’s peoples

Blue Door Cuisine - On our recent two day visit to Tangier and Chefchouen, we were treated to a fun and informative cooking and cultural experience at Blue Door Cuisine. From our initial greeting by the American owner, who explained his mission to share the cooking and culture of his adopted homeland, to meeting our Experience Leader, Rim, the entire evening was amazing. The kitchen and interior rooms we used were impressive and enhanced the entire experience. Our gracious “Experience Leader”, Rim, was full of enthusiasm and absolutely charming with perfect English. We left feeling confident we could make the chicken and olive tagine at home. My friend already successfully made the tagine, and we are now finding U.S. vendors at home and across the U.S. who import the ingredients for the Moroccan tea, including the Cosumar Pain de sucre. I fell in love with the preserved lemons and found an organic farm here at home in Arizona that grows the same kind of smaller, thin skinned lemons used in Morocco, and two jars of lemons are now pickling in my pantry. However, jars of Moroccan lemons are also available online in the U.S.A. Fortunately, we visited a spice shop in the Souq prior to the class and purchased bags of the heavenly Ras el Hanout spice which can also be found in the U.S.A. Blue Door Cuisine provides an excellent cooking and cultural experience to enhance any visit to Tangier. Our tour provider, Aziz Benami, and La Maison Blanche hotel owner, Aziz Begdouri, where we stayed, were extremely helpful with organizing our tours and this Blue Door Cuisine experience. Rabab was our daily tour guide who took us to the spice shop in the Souq and everywhere else we visited. She was incredible! I will return to see more of Morocco and its friendly people.
