Attended with our three grandkids and their parents. - We attended on a reciprocal basis with Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo in Indiana. Half off admission was a great benefit. The grandkids had a great time.

Worth the visit! From Oregon - The park is perfect for kids of all ages we took a 14 year old and 7 years old boys and they enjoyed it. The park is very clean with great food selection affordable prices and offers rides and areas for kids to get wet and play in the water .

Very neat Zoo - This is a great Zoo! Definitely worth the ticket prices. Lots of interactions, animal talks. All the rides in the different areas are free and included with admission. Not sure about the tour ones ones. Get there early though like 930 to 10 to get a good parking spot. My kids really liked it. My oldest watched Zoo Tampa , I think it’s in Nat Geo. She meet a few animals and a keeper from the show. Really neat place. I would definitely go again.

Zoo Tampa is just OK - Much smaller than expected for the ticket price. Safari truck was disappointing. Australia section will open shortly. Hour and a half is enough to see everything

Who isn't a kid again at a zoo! - What a fun day! We went during the week and, obviously, not in peak season. The park is exceptionally clean. Love the way it is organized moving through locations. For people who object to animals being confined...not to worry. With few exceptions, the animals enjoy wide spaces very much resembling their natural habitat. Zoo staff is very friendly and helpful. Our first visit, we did not take advantage of encounters (not included in ticket price) or free talks. I would suggest looking for those ahead of time and building them into a visit. A limited time exhibit is "Prehistoric Predators." It is great. Parking was free, plentiful, and close. Many opportunities for dining. Of course, as in most places, it is not cheap. But, fellow guests said it was good. There are plenty of places to relax in the shade and cool off with misting.

Tampa Zoo - My grand children enjoyed the water park and the Small apes were very entertaining. We never seen Manatees it was really neat how many the zoo had and you could see them so good. Also free parking I think they should have timed entrances it was Avery long time to get in.

Tampa Zoo was pretty good for our last cloudy day in the so called Sunshine state of Florida. - I am a zoo lover and try to go to as many as I can. I recently came back from a long weekend getaway to Redington Beach Florida. The Tampa Zoo was close to the Tampa airport and was easy to get to. It had a lot of great qualities. First most, It was clean. They had a wide range of animals. My favorites are the basic elephants, tigers, monkeys and giraffes! They didn’t have panda bears, polar bears, zebras or seals at this time, but they had some other animals that I’ve never heard of. Also, quite a few were not able to be seen. It was hard to tell if they were hiding or hiding underground. I asked a worker and she told be some animals prefer not to come out until it’s very hot. Florida was having cooler weather at this time. I thought $48.95 per person was high, considering no rides were working and some areas were under construction.

The zoo was perfect.... - The zoo was perfect. Gorgeous day. Lots of shade and benches. BUT getting into the zoo with the vouchers took way too much time. Did the vouchers to save time. Granted we were a party of 7. The woman issueing the tickets did a great job considering.

Average at best and over-priced! - Very underwhelming! Felt like there were more concessions than animals! Africa was closed for a corporate event (no advance notice), and compared with great zoos like San Diego, this is just really average. Expensive at $49 per ticket. Sorry - disappointing visit.

Shoebills make it worth it - Shoebills!!!! This zoo gets at least 3 stars for the shoebills alone. Unfortunately their enclosure is not as nice as I was expecting and the views were obscured by chicken wire. The zoo otherwise is decent and the manatees are their most pampered animals it appears. The zoos popularity has clearly out paced it’s management. I would have given four stars if all their animals were out on exhibit and the add on animal encounters were better priced. So if your close check out the shoebills and the manatees.
