5 stars - My kids (ages 2 and 4) loved this place—and so did I! We were there from 10 to close and still didn’t see everything. The animals were incredible, and we did the clouded leopard add-on—the girls were beside themselves getting to help train a leopard! Lunch at the Africa Safari restaurant was decent, and I was so happy to actually find a salad option instead of just hamburgers and hot dogs. There are full bars throughout the park and plenty of kids’ rides too. The best part? Your ticket gets you admission for the entire year! On top of that, it’s amazing to hear about the conservation projects they run with other zoos. This place is a true joy. A++

Zoo trip - Very nice zoo. Lots of animals from around the world. Should be even better in 2026 with a few new exhibits going in. The front food court was ok.

Manatee Heaven - This Zoo was awesome. They had so many different animals. It's a fairly large zoo. Me and my husband had the best time. The animals are very well cared for. My husband loved the monkey/ gorilla exhibit. I knew exactly where I would spend most of my time because ZooTampa was on the Animal Planet. I spent I know over an hour just watching the manatees. They are my favorite. I absolutely loved watching them. It never got old. I got to see the medical pools and some of the staff. My husband literally had to drag me away from the Manatees because the zoo was closing. I highly reccomend this zoo. If you want something to do/ something different I would check this zoo out. It's worth it.

A blast! - Super fun time!! We loved visiting ZooTampa at Lowry Park!! Lots an amazing animals to see! We had a super fun safari ride and got to see the animals even better that way! Definitely recommend going!

Awesome experience would definitely recommend the the Tampa zoo - Always so happy when at the zoo other then beer prices lol always a great time the up close and personal experiences are the best and at a reasonable price so far my favorite was the penguin encounter

Zoo. - I stopped here one afternoon. It’s pretty expensive to get in. ($50). The Shoebill storms were a great thing to see. The manatee rescue area is pretty awesome and I Hope some of my money goes to that. It’s a nice zoo. It’s not big and easily walkable.

Couples visit - We have watched the Zoo many times on tv at home, and it looked like a fab vibrant place to visit. Work being done directions to parking had to be requested, staff were really helpful. The park itself was smelly ( i know there are live animals). The attractions were mainly empty again i know it's very hot! The whole park was well sign posted but it's nothing like we expected, very few exhibits and quite expensive. The only good side was the money goes to the loking after of the animals that were there.

A lot of closures and construction - The underwater manatee viewing area was closed off for construction along with the bat exhibit. Those were two of my favorites. Then I discover the aviary exhibit was closed too! I was a little sad but the dino experience made up for it a tad. Tips: -If you have access to govx, check out their discounts and grab refillable drink container. You will need it because it gets hot! -Go early when they first open and you can see all of the animals active when they first hit their exhibits and start to feed. -Head over to the safari ride first before the lines get too long.

Average for the price - We felt that for the price the zoo was average at best. I understand they are doing some upgrades and some exhibits were closed. Some of the animals were alone such as the tiger and the panther. It seems they would do better with a companion but I’m not an expert on that matter. The flamingo exhibit was really disappointing. It was very small & paled in comparison to others I’ve seen. There was plenty of zoo staff around who were helpful in answering questions. Hopefully when they’re finished with the upgrades it will be better for the animals and visitors.
