A true jungle safari experience. - My wife and I had a great time with our tour guide Ivan. We saw many species of birds, crocodiles, fish, crabs, monkeys, and lizards. Ivan took time to explain to us all the things we were seeing and describing the importance of the mangroves. He was determined to help us see tons of wildlife and we even got off the boat to hike for monkeys. Amazing experience we won’t forget.

!! - We booked last minute hoping for a relaxing activity to get us out of the resort and the busy town - and this tour delivered! Ivan was prompt when picking us up, and was an excellent guide. He was fantastic at pointing out and describing many different species of birds, quite a few crocodiles, crabs, raccoons (trash pandas!), and howler monkeys. He was funny, and answered all questions thoughtfully. Our boat had a noticeably quieter motor than that of other tour companies, which likely helped us get closer to all of the crocs. Highly recommend this tour!

A great excursion! Ivan was great! - This tour is perfect length of time and we got to see lots of crocodiles and monkeys! We are seniors and handled getting in and out of the boat holding a hand!

Great wildlife lesson on the Tamarindo Estuary Tour - Really enjoyed the tour! It is a very quiet, peaceful tour with our knowledgeable guide who gently motored our boat so as not to disturb the wildlife or scare away crocs. The mangroves are a fascinating tree and he explained its unique characteristics. The group was on the lookout for various birds, crocodiles (hard to see but definitely there), the howler monkeys and active iguanas. The monkeys were sleeping high up in the inland trees except for one active little guy, which made for a fun video memory. All in all, it was a nice, leisurely Costa Rica wildlife lesson. You'll get your feet wet getting in and out and out of the boat, and also have the option to walk through some of the estuary to see more wildlife, floral, fauna and monkeys. The bottled water and fresh pineapple hit the spot! Tips were appreciated (and not included in the fee but also not mentioned in the what to bring section).

I enjoyed the estuary tour - The estuary was very scenic and we learned about its importance in the ecosystem. The covered boat made it easy to enjoy looking for wildlife. Ivan, the tour guide expertly guided the boat close to various birds and two small alligators. He ensured everyone had an opportunity to take pictures. Young and old seemed to enjoy this marvelous tour.

Mangrove boat safari - The Experience of Iwan the tourguide / captain of the safari was well explained. The small group ( we had in total 10 people) is max by 15.

This is the second time I have taken this tour. If you are a nature lover, you'll love it. Ivan is a fantastic guide. I requeste - This is my second time on this tour, and I would do it. I was so impressed with our guide Ivan so much, I requested him the second time. Took his time so we could nature watch and take pictures, knowledgeable and engaged.

Tour with family - Ivan was a great guide. Not too much to see during our tour except for a few birds. Two small crocs, few raccoons and a few sleeping monkeys.
