Highlights
- Huacas - After a convenient hotel pick up (if you book the tour with transportation), at the 506 Transfers & Tours office we will give you a tour explanation to ensure you have fun and to address any possible doubts you may have, we take you on a test ride. This way, you will become familiar with the vehicle and the terrain. Once your training ride is concluded, and all your comfortable and ready, you’ll start your tour.
Important: We will take you on routes that are appropriate for your driving skills and preferences which always include beaches and mountains.
- Playa Mina - We will visit at least 2 beaches which will depend on your driving skills. Also crossing rivers, and up and down hills. Off the road all the time. Join us on this Tamarindo ATV & Buggy Excursion, the best way to experience Costa Rica in a truly unique way!

THIS A FULL PRIVATE TOUR, to discover secluded beaches on an off-roading adventure that takes you off the main road through mountains and rivers to explore parts of the region that are only accessible by all-terrain-vehicles. Independent travelers can choose their own ATV and experience the excitement of driving, while couples or families with kids can choose a 2 or 4 Seater BUGGY or a double ATV as well (driver + passenger) and ride together.
Important: If you are an adult and want to go as a passenger on a Double ATV, select option KID. Minimum for a Tour to run is 2 ATVs or 1 Buggy

FANTASTIC!! - Hilmar was amazing! He was patient with our group. We have kids and seniors and he was fantastic. He even took our GoPro and recorded and took pictures. He is wonderful!! Thank you so much, Hilmar. You made our tour one to remember. Also, the tour is well worth the price.

Great experience to get around CR! - We absolutely loved our ATV tour. I was experienced with ATVs, my husband was not. We both felt comfortable & it was a blast! We saw beaches we wouldn’t have seen otherwise, learned about the islands and nature, saw animals we never would have noticed on our own, and the adrenaline rush with going through water / potholes from rain was awesome. My husband said he’s hooked on ATVs and wants one now. I’d definitely recommend. We did the 9am tour and we were back by 11:15, ready to take on the rest of the day!

A neat way to see private beaches and countryside. - Atvs were in excellent shape, the route was spectacular and we saw 4 different beaches. Stopped twice to see wildlife as requested and Juan was the greatest. Ask for him if you can.

So much fun! - This was a fun day! Our family enjoyed the three beaches on this tour. Our tour guide, Juan, was amazing and wonderful with our two children. We saw monkeys all throughout the atv tour as well.

The best time - I’ve never ridden atvs before but our guides Juan & Estevan were the best & gave us a tutorial before and it was very simple to ride. Juan helped put me at ease in the beginning when I was a little nervous. We rode through the most amazing beautiful route with green trees on both sides. We got incredibly lucky & saw monkeys In the trees on the way that the guides noticed and let us stop to marvel at them. The guides kept us safe and we rode to 2 of the most incredible hidden beaches where we got to hang out and swim for a little. It was intermittently raining but it just made the whole vibe even more fun. I loved it and would 1000% do it again. Juan gave us the most fresh sliced pineapples at the end of our trip. We never felt rushed and enjoyed the entire experience

What A Day - The whole ride was an absolute blast. Getting to drink imperial beer on a wonderful hidden beautiful was beyond anything i could have expected! Both beaches were wonderful and the tour felt like it was the perfect amount of time. The road was the perfect mix of bits of mud with mostly easy terrain that is perfect for any beginner. Gustavo, one of our guides did an amazing job and I cannot applaud him enough. He was polite, amicable, and made sure we had enough time to enjoy each spot. Justin, our other guide also was very friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time. Seeing the howler monkeys in the end made my entire trip, best excursion in guanacaste!

The best excursion during our time in Costa Rica. - Fernando was the best! We stopped at two beautiful beaches. He gave us a brief history of the area. Overall, one of the best experiences during our vacation.

Incredible ATV tour experience! - 506 Transfers and Tours were awesome to work with. Very professional and thoughtful tour guides that took care of my family like anyone could hope. Juan was our tour guide and we can’t say enough great things about him. He treated my girls like they were his, which made this experience even more special. The ride, the views and the beaches were incredible.
