Excellent, safe, and worth it! - Our tour guide, Alfredo, was professional, knowledgeable, and an overall awesome person. I learned a lot about Mayan and El Salvadoran cultures and the landscape. The short hike was lovely and the restaurant meal was delicious with a beautiful view. The pictures from today will bring smiles to my face for many years. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler with limited Spanish. I cannot recommend Alfredo and our driver Ramon enough!

Incredible Tour - Incredible tour. My tour guide Adonis was highly knowledgable and gave me a one-on-one tour of San Andreas and Joya de Ceren. He also took great photos when I asked him to. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting El Salvador!

Amazing experience! - Alfredo was an amazing tour guide and I had a fantastic day exploring the Mayan ruins with him! I was traveling solo for a few days before meeting up with friends and signed up for this tour expecting to be on a bus with a bunch of people. Alfredo showed up in a truck and let me know he was still going to do the tour even though no one else signed up so I ended up getting a private tour of the ruins - it was incredible! This ended up being one of the highlights of my trip! Alfredo was very knowledgeable and made adjustments to the schedule to make sure to see everything that I was interested in. We ended up going to a local yucaeria for lunch and had an amazing authentic meal. He always made sure I felt comfortable and educated along the way. Overall I had an amazing experience and I highly recommend the tour! Thank you, Alfredo!

Great day trip! - Three archeological sites, a delicious (and boozy) terrace lunch overlooking the Santa Ana cathedral, spontaneous tour of the inside of the Santa Ana theater, quick stop to admire some black lava fields, and a morning coffee run to sample an El Salvadoran coffee chain? Sign me up! Bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water. There's little to no shade at these sites. My tour guide Alfredo was a phenomenal guide; friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Keep expectations in mind that the sites are partially covered in concrete for preservation reasons & they aren't exposed like the Mayan ruins in Mexico. All the sites are pretty far from each other, so having a tour guide was the way to go.

Was not taken to one site... - Was not taken to one site that was on the itinerary. Guide said traffic was too bad getting back to San Salvator. Also he was very preoccupied with his phone and had to stop for gas.
