Great experience mushing in the snow! - While we chose to ride instead of mush, this excursion was fantastic. Not a simple ride around the field, you get to mush through the woods for a few miles. The staff is wonderful - you can tell they really care about the dogs and that everyone enjoys their time. We got to get up close and meet some of the animals, see the puppies and equipment used. Learned just how much work goes into the Iditarod. They put extra effort into helping a family with children enjoy their ride - staff even took pictures for them. Took the time to answer everyone's questions and did a great job taking the bus through the rough road to get there. We got picked up in Talkeetna - you should let them drive you there, as the road can get a bit rough. Highly recommend!!

Unforgettable Mushing Dog Experience - This was an amazing experience. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and then divided into two groups. Our group listened to a presentation on the sport of dog mushing as we toured the property of six-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavy. The best part of this experience was getting to pet a ton of dogs and receiving a few kisses from the adorable puppies. Having a husky that passed away recently, the howling sound was music to my ears and brought me much comfort and joy deep down in my soul. Next, we did the dog sledding through a birch tree line trail that felt like a magical winter wonderland. The guides were very attuned to the needs and safety of each guest. I would have felt very comfortable with my 7 year-old grandson driving the sled. As an adrenaline junkie, it was almost too slow for me. However, I understand the need for keeping us safe. I highly recommend this tour. If we come back, we will definitely do this tour again.
